@Millie,

what do you use to record your voice with? software wise. I'm using fraps atm and it's a little limited.

Where on earth did you pull that question from?

I just use the windows in-built recorder then layer it across the visuals in Vegas.

The normal free program people usually recommend is Audacity.

I personally find Sony SoundForge Studio is a good consumer program, if you're willing to spend ~$100 on something like that.

i already have an program i can use but due to the way i set it up it blocks off all other sound (helps keep latency low)

curious as to other software people used to record voice but built in recorder would suit perfectly

You mentioned FRAPS?

Yeah, you should record sound and video separately. Audacity is a separate sound recording program.

Windows recorder works, but doesn't have any tools that you can enhance the sound with. That's the main limitation.

that's fine i can load it into my video program and normalise it (or chuck it into my production program and put effects on it but i don't need to go to that lengths)

Weirdly, chapter 3 of the witcher (in the Trade quarter of Vizima) all goes horribly wrong with graphics, quite unsightly with everything stretching and jagging all over the place. I will persevere.

Still absolutely LOVING Blacklight Retribution, seriously excellent basic shooter action. Costs a lot of GP to buy items (I've put in about 5 hours of playtime and have 3500GP, I need 5500GP to permanently buy a bolt action rifle. You can also purchase items for a day or 6 days so it might go 150GP for a day, 500GP for 6 days, 5500GP to own permantly.

Each weapon and customisable piece of it can also be bought for Zen and all those purchases are permanent.

Anywho.

UFO AI 2.4 is out, looks slicker and hopefully will be fun to play through again.

More Crysis 2 and still it's pretty much a nothing game. The story still is very zzz, nothing interesting is happening and most of it feels filled with travel. Also love how they've outright forgotten about the first batch of characters (don't care if they come back, them being gone for so long will only make any return feel cheap).

Also Crytek yet again seem to be making the same mistakes. They tried to make the aliens no different from human enemies to help this but still they're not nearly as interesting as human enemies (which in turn are nothing compared the the Koreans) yet they've again outright replaced the human enemy with the alien enemy for sections of the game.

Also annoyed over the weapon customization downgrades (hard to explain but you don't get the upgrades like you used to which is limiting) and the armor upgrades aren't very good partly because most of the upgrades are useless and partially because weapon customization makes sense as they're all mutually exclusive (can't have iron sights and a sniper scope on at the same time) so only getting one at a time makes sense. Being forced to use one armor upgrade at a time isn't physically mutually exclusive so it makes no sense.

Also the game continues to be disgustingly linear. But stealth is still better I think (or at least better handled and more polished) but sadly also more linear than in the first.

Oh I also started Halo Reach again. I'm a bit sad as I must truly be over Halo. :( I should try playing the original again to see if that's truly the case or if it's just reach that's not really grabbing me.
*Insert negative stuff here.*

Anyone else tried Warlock: Master of the Arcane?
There is a demo up on steam which lets you try out a map for an hour. It is like a combination of Civilization 5 and Master of Magic. Build cities, make troops and fight other mages while casting spells on a hex grid.

It's made by ino-co, makers of Majesty 2 with the game being set in the same world (Ardania). Also includes the same voice actor with the bad Sean Connery impersonation :)

Is released on the 9th of May and is only $19!
