Gets me all happy after i land the thing following a long haul flight (not long ago completed a flight from sydney to Singapore. about 8 hours TFT IIRC)

That sounds awesome, Im waiting on my copy of FSX to arrive, but its exactly those kind of things that have me keen to get into it, no matter how late to the party I am with FSX.

Yessssss, I loved doing long hauls in the 747.. even had the occasional random join the co-pilots chair.. although after a dude crashed me I learned to lock that chair :-/

ha, i've been keen to get a co-pilot for a flight. Seems like fun to get some of that work load off you.

hell yeah! I've done about 90% of my flight time in aust and it's kinda cool travelling over to other bigger airports. I couldn't believe how much bigger Singapore airport was compared to Sydney. it's massive.

edit: I usually try to follow real world procedures when i do my flights (keep < 250 knots under 10,000ft. Altimeter at 2992 over 18,000. landing lights on under 10kft) that kinda stuff.

Somehow my Witcher save disappeared and I had to start midway through Chapter 2 again. Just cracked Chapter 3 last night.

Am up to Chapter 3 in Witcher 2 but have also started my Dark playthrough on a separate save.

Armed Assault Queen's Gambit and Rainbow Six 3 Gold were smart installs... perfectly suit my laptops capability (can run ArmA on full easily but would struggle with ArmA 2) and it's great to have some serious tactical shooters at my disposal.

Getting amped up for a new playthrough of Alpha Protocol, never gave this game the time that I think it deserves.

Quick Check ... also have Tribes Ascend and Blacklight Retribution installed as well as Carrier Command. The pick of those three has to be Blacklight, SUCH a great game and I really recommend it to any shooter fan.

Yeah, pretty awesome. Although how the semi-realistic depiction of bullets in brains got past the censor but Mortal Kombat's arcade representation of beatings didn't has me boggled.

It's so satisfying nailing someone from 100m through the head when taking into account wind direction and bullet drop and seeing their skull shatter and brain spray out the back of their head. Pulling off through and through shots is awesome, too.

It's one game I'll definitely be playing in complete realism difficulty. The aim assist can really kill the immersion.

The demo really was just a shooting gallery though, I hope the full game isn't.

lol, what a scrub.

this is why its great to have mates to play dota with. I've only ever played with at least 2 other mates so we don't often have to put up with other people ****. Is good

Speaking of Flight "Sims", and I use the term loosely here..

Microsoft Flight - P-40 has been released to the DLC for FLIGHT (you know the game that they are saying is a simulation for everyone) For $6.99 you can add this to your "free to play simulation", but just for those that don't do the research on it, the single plane for 7 bucks, comes to the game WITHOUT EVEN A COCKPIT VIEW!!

It's so clear how Microsoft intend to screw the gullible here with DLC after DLC, until you have paid over a $100 for very little content, and content that is of low quality.

yeh it's getting riduclous how much they think they can extort us. I bought the Hawaiian pack back when it was first released and loved it for about 2 days. Until they bring out something of quality DLC i won't be touching it again. Fat chance of me buying any plane without a cockpit view.

cyclobs, Mellie.. what sort of $$ are we talking to get decent enjoyment out of a game like FSX? Might sound crazy but I like the idea of it.. and I do want a more sim experience without hitting the DC10 level of MEGA HARD.

Any suggestions of gear? Obviously I'd need a joystick throttle and rudder set, but do you use just a regular stick or do you use a different type of flight controller like a two handed..yoke, thingy?

Edit, EEP.. for a 2 hander flight yoke, rudders and throttle, it's getting damned pricey
