How do you play ME3 multiplayer? Every game I joined I got voted out within a minute of joining, and all I had done was click the ready button. :(

Change the filter to 'Bronze' difficulty, it starts off on 'Any'.

I just got back to Earth in Mass Effect 3 but I just have to ask something. WHAT THE F*CK IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT EARTH?!?!?!

(Spoiler tags incase any of this counts as spoilers.)
Hidden: show
I mean throughout the game (and the advertising campaign) a big deal was made about Earth and how horrible everything was and how the entire galaxies military force was being gathered just to take it back. All the while Palaven is getting just as pwnt as Earth and I bet Thessia got 100x as pwnt as Earth, not to mention the rest of the galaxy.

So really, what's so special about Earth? To me it seems like it's not even taking the absolute worst of the Reaper attack let alone making it reasonable to send the vast majority of the galaxies fleet to retake just the one planet when it could just as easily go to Thessia or maybe Palaven, there's probably a much greater chance of Palaven actually being taken back quite frankly.

Not to mention the amount of sap everyone of all species has over Earth being attacked, again while countless other planets are getting attacked just as badly if not worse.

I mean if Earth was the only place being attacked like the advertising implied then that would make tons of sense. Hell, they could've used that to keep the council in character over denying the Reapers existence until some event during the game forced them to see the truth. But no, it's not the only place, it wasn't even the first place hit ffs.

Also watched some Javik videos, talk about superiority complex, I hate him. Also he shows just how last minute the 'synthetics will always destroy organics' storyline came about given his mass loathing of synthetics is the only thing in the game that hints to ME3's ending yet it was DLC made after the core game was supposedly locked in. Also his reception in the citadel...wtf? He's a member of a long extinct species, I would've thought he'd be garnering more attention than 3 derpy randoms. :/

The Batarian's took the brunt of the attack since they're where the Reapers arrived and are now all but exterminated, just a few refugees and pirates/privateers left pretty much. Earth is the next to recieve the brunt of the attack, that's where the majority of the Reaper fleet is with other task force's dispatched to other systems to collect ground troops and divide the races.

Palaven and Earth would be the easiest to hold because the Turian and Human military doctrine's are suited to wars of attrition. Thessia is getting steam-rolled because the Asari have more of a tribal based military doctrine and primarily rely on commandos which are suited more to manuver warfare, so even though they're not taking the brunt of the attack they're out of their depth in defensive operations of that scale. I don't think that the Salarian's had much of a direct threat from the Reapers, neither did the Quarian's who were focused on the Geth. The Krogan had trouble with Reaper scouts but nothing too major.

As for Javik, he was only identified as a Prothean from a Hanar overhearing the conversation between him and Shepard. Nobody would have identified him just by looking at him, especially seeing as the statues of Prothean's seem to be of humans with melting faces if the statue's on Ilos in ME1 is to be any indication... That, and as Javik said, any races who did not assimilate into identifying as Prothean were wiped out, so there are likely mixed idea's of what their race actually looked like.

But then you get to the issue that a blatantly new species has been discovered and is walking around, why is no fuss being made about that? Also when the Hanar identified him surely word would have spread VERY quickly.

That also brings another issue, did they ever have a lore explanation for the difference between ME1 Protheans and ME2/3 Protheans? It was clearly another case that Bioware hadn't actually planned anything but did they ever try to give a story reason for the discrepancy?

There are a few species in the ME universe that we don't get glimpses of in the game. Javik only visted the citadel once so even if word did spread not many would have had a chance to speak with him. That said, one Hanar going around saying "this one has seen a living enkindler" probably wouldn't get much attention.

As for the differance in Protheans, as I said all 'lesser' species were given the choise to either assimilate and identify as Prothean or be exterminated. One of the Ilos statues from ME1 was in the vault in Katsumi's mission in ME2 as well, the one that looked like a human with a melting face.

Found this one the Mass Effect Wiki too:
The Codex image for the Protheans in Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 shows some resemblance to a Husk, particularly in the glowing blue lights present on the upper body. This image resembles the statues found on Ilos, but does not resemble Javik or representations of living Protheans; it is possible that the discrepancy is due to the statues on Ilos being misinterpreted as Prothean.

Yeah, what a fantastic ending hey?

Kinda like the first Matrix though, Mass Effect could have ended right there and been better off for it.

It didn't piss anyone else off you couldn't keep exploring the universe, finishing off side quests?
