Mellie's Random Game Discussion Thread

I know I personally found STALKER to be an incredibly difficult game on my first few outings... it wasn't until the series really clicked with me and I started stripping rifles for ammo and confidently navigating between quests that I realised it was quite an easy game.

Still scares the **** out of me though. On my youtube channel (Railing Media) there's a STALKER gameplay vid I'd link if I wasn't at work... you can see it from the link in my sig :D

Could've sworn I replied to this already.. but anyway I just started playing Clear Sky today, since I've played COP / SOC wayyy too many times now, and ignored CS for a few reasons. Running with Faction Fronts mod instead of just Complete for something different. Smashed through the swamp/cordon quite quickly, managed to have 600 rounds of 5.45x39 ammo when I went to the Garbage :o Quite a difference going from MISERY mod in COP to this. Not going to use a Warsaw weapon though so I'll sell the ammo. Already grabbed the first VSS you can get in the game and have got plenty of other weapons stashed away. Running into a few bugs with this mod though so not sure if I'd recommend it to others.

Spoilers Below...

Pretty frustrated at the moment. Just turned off the scorcher and about to head into chernobyl, but my suit is shot to ****. So i'm trying to sprint back to the bar so i can repair the suit + buy supplies but it's proving impossible with no antirads or bandages up against 3000 dogs and pigs.

Any suggestions of how to get into it?

Civs not one of those games I get into and play obsessively. I just leave it on my computer, and play it whenever.

I dunno, it's easy to get bogged down in Civ. I like just going up to the Renaissance era.

I can spoil where you can find a suit in Pripyat if you want? Although depending on what you've done so far it might spoil a bit more than that. If you have a cache location of Fox's Grave there should be a suit in there too. Otherwise try sprinting away from mutants, drop enough **** so you can sprint for long enough.

Millie, I hope you picked up the VSS you went near in that video! Although ordering the Tide from Nimble is better.

I usually like saying to myself "I'll use X-calibre weapon".... then through necessity or opportunity you find yourself rocking whatever you find that's good and has ammo at the time.

I've played a bit of MISERY CoP lately and found that the money invested into a rifle makes it foolish to sell and start over with another.

MISERY has some sweet weapons added in, pity the damage doesn't seem to scale. The Green Dragon takes a few rounds to kill bloodsuckers... Oh but the German WW2 rifle, man like firing a CANNON!

Ugh, look we just need a STALKER circlefap thread...

Nah i went back and repaired up and then found the suit in the hotel. I have one of the armored scientist suits so the one i found wasn't as good anyway, plus i wouldn't have got that far without repairing the suit.

Edit: Mellie i added you on blacklight - bludger45.

I'm undecided about buying BF3 Premium, I just don't enjoy BF3 that much, every now and then I'll play it for a few hours .. I'm not convinced it's worth it.

Right, thanks to you I'm replaying SoC and buying Clear Sky and CoP. Now I have something to do with the rest of my Uni break :P

Really digging ME3's co-op multiplayer, but playing with pubs can get tiresome, any frequent players here still?
