First FEAR was amazing.. the rest of the series has been boring sign-posting.

Out of curiosity, I reinstalled RO2 today and played a few matches this afternoon.. you know what? I had a blast. I guess it's been about 12 months since its release, and last time I played it I remember nothing but pure frustration at bugs, and constant death.

I'm really glad I gave it a second chance with all the patching they've done, I see myself playing more of this!@

I hopped in and played two rounds today also. Kills on moving targets with the bolt-action feels as good as ever but the number if TK's is outrageous. I 'np'd each one but by christ people were shooting me in the back when I was 30meters from spawn and facing the correct way!

Played a bunch of GRFS multi tonight, very satisfying. Good teamwork makes all the difference. Also, the Sp campaign is a blast even if (in what appearstobe a ghost recon tradition) the hardest difficulty is still quite easy.

Admittedly in one big wide open map I was having trouble keeping track what was going on where and when I'd see a tiny heat pop up at distance I'd shoot at it only for it to be a team member :/

Also was lining up a shot on an MG gunner in a window when another team mate was on voice warning of it and ran right in front of me as I fired.. "Thanks Disco.." damnit, man!

Totally with you on this, I think I put in about 8hrs yesterday playing it haha. It just seems to play so much better now.

Had soooo much of this happen to me too but I'm going to try and be positive and put it down to it being the "free weekend" and hope it is just a bunch of noobs that haven't taken the time to learn how to distinguish troops.

Gets annoying fast though, especially after taking 10 minutes to creep forward towards an objective, clear it out with a 'nade, then get shot in the back by some wannabe rifle sniper back towards your own spawn.

Admittedly I spent a lot of time not really knowing where to go, or how to get there without dying along the way so probably spent more time towards the back than I should have. Have they added new maps? The few I played yesterday weren't familiar at all.

I was only playing in realistic games, and it is thoroughly enjoyable to score a hit on a guy on the fly and have him go down, unlike BF3 where they just keep running and get behind cover even in HC >.<

There is only one new map so far, and I forget its name (EDIT - Mamayev Kurgan), but it has a rather red sky in a snowy "field" with pill boxes and is all out trench warfare. One where popping your head up is very scary. They have said more are on the way, as well as community made ones, and this will all be free DLC from the statements made thus far. (that earns huge kudos from me)

Remember "T" is your friend, and it will show you the objectives and distances there. Valleys, trenches, cover, is the only "safe" way to any of them.

Yeah, it is the new "classic" mode for me now or nothing (goes Action - Realism - Classic). The greater bullet damage, and other features/restrictions make it very thrilling. Have had some intense fights in close quarters too, where we have both fatally wounded each other, but as we "fade" out we are still trying to pop off more rounds at each other. I have also now turned the ingame music off, and love the immersion of the gun fire and sounds during battle. Will be many more battles ahead :)

Ah I see, only had looked at the PC release. I think it might be one I pick up on PS3 then, and wait for Ghost Recon Online for PC. I think that will be one excellent F2P game.

Dragon's Dogma - anyone?

Picked it up on a whim on Thursday and have been remarkably surprised, something of a sleeper hit for me. The reviews out there don't do it justice, IMO.

I had it on pre-order, but I ended up cancelling simply because I've got about 8-10 titles I haven't played yet and already do own, and thought "Why am I adding to this?"

You're finding it enjoyable, I take it?
