Having watched GG religiously for a while now I too became accustomed to Junglist and I definitely agree that alternatives other than having him leave the show should have been explored, whether they were or not I, we don't know.

I liked the elements he brought to the show and even though sometimes I think he was a little awkward with the camera he was still a great presenter and no doubt knew his stuff.

This is NOT to say that Hex can't bring similar or better elements to the show and that because Jung was good she's automatically inferior or whatever other reasons you've come up with.

I've watched her on GG and personally think she's doing a great job, especially considering the copious amounts of poop she is receiving from everyone. It's quite sad to see really and what I find weird is that even though the ABC management team fired Jung it seems Hex is copping most of the abuse.

She probably just landed her dream job but because there appears to be a following of loud mouth wanker Junglist fanboys on the internet she's receiving a lashing because he was fired before she even got the part.

She definitely deserves a fair and better go before people start criticising her about things she hasn't even had a chance to do yet!

Despite the ridiculous antics of the ABC I'm not going to boycott the show and will continue watching it, with or without Junglist, because while all of you are complaining about how they've fsck the gamer's show I'm still happy about the fact that there are actually shows on TV specifically for gamers.

Let me ask you this:

What's worse? (I don't expect an answer as it is completely rhetorical and I'd assume you all to answer correctly)
A) No gaming TV shows at all.
B) Gaming shows possibly without Junglist.

I personally don't overly care about these recent events, I liked Jung, I also like Hex. I still love the show and sure there could be some void for a little while, but with Hex, who has a pretty decent gaming history, a certain quirkiness and definite physical attractiveness (not something I'd base performance on though) could help the show bust through the backlash from fans back onto the right track.

Anywho, time to leave the office! Wish I was on gaming TV

Hex seems to be good.

For thos that say she is 'Just reading the the script' I will partly agree with.... I think she just needs to get to grips with it, and find her way of doing it.....

The Matthew Reilly interview/ROFL cup thing seemed a bit.... um.... fake..... And having Hex do the interview, with Bargo standing there as the 'bag boy'...... I don't know..... Hex is good, but who ever is producing needs to get over the 'OMG its a GIRL' thing, and just make the show....

All up, HEX is rather good.... And as for replacing Junglist.... I think someone just wanted a shorter name for the final review bit, at the end of the show....

Also, I love a bit of wind whipped polygon action.

That interview was pretty annoyingly lame. The questions asked were not that interesting, and the responses were expected. She should have interviewed someone that was actually in the games industry, not someone who writes 'gamey' books. Phooey. It wasn't entirely Hex's fault that interview was lame though.

Watched this weeks episode.

Was quite an improvement, they seem to be finding their own groove.

Baj and Jung were a good combo. They really started to make it more about games by throwing in a few jokes/skits, really enjoyed it. Its completely changed now, obviously, might take a while to get used to the new presenter. She is eloquent enough to get the info across but I prefer Jung's sense of humor and brutal honesty.

Agreed, he was less of a presenter and more of a normal guy that was on TV. That was definitely part of his "charm".
