What input lag? :)

Fine here with Fanatec GT2 and Xbox 360 controller.

Might be worth mentioning here:

In NFS shift 1 and 2 there was massive input lag, making some of the faster cars near on impossible to drive..

also by how unconsistent the lines etc are by people i've seen driving it, looks like the input lag is still there by how iffy the control is...

still kinda want to try it just for it actually using a decent graphics engine, modding rfactor 2 is just driving me insane with the limitations :(

Ah damn, Hopefully they can fix up any problems you might have :)
Was this an issue with the previous GTR games for you?

The new engine is pretty impressive :)

It is pretty impressive but when they went through with the modifications made for shift 1 and 2 they seem to have broken the control input.. :/

few guys on my TS have said its pretty horrible in CARS..

ah old GTR games were fine, and rfactor 1/2, LFS, Netkarpro, iracing all run fine and are really precise and react instantly..

I had really bad input lag on Shift with my G25 - I haven't had a single problem in CARS. Controls are still being setup properly though (as are physics)... afterall its still pre-alpha, but im impressed so far!

input... iis weird kinda lagish.. car doesn't respond as quick as iracing, rfactor, even the f1 car...
maybe not lag.. but sluggish

also i can lock up the breaks and the car stops so quickly, in real life you lock up for over a few metre or so and ur not making the corner..

Theres a few posts on the forum to fix this up for you. gotta remember that its still pre-alpha... so a lot of these issues are being fixed as we speak

I am well aware its pre-alpha, i've been messing with settings for a few hours now and tweaked nvidia settings eveything, its vaguely drivable :/ but idk just the whole car is sluggish and I'm even having trouble keeping it on the same side of the road.

apparently the new reworking of threads has removed most of the lag, but that not implemented yet, shall wait and see how it turns out..

It sounds like more a gfx driver/card/settings issue what are the specs to your pc ?

I've never had a input issue with c.a.r.s and I've been rocking it since day one, there was a tad of a dead zone problem a while ago but now that has been fixed.

May i ask what car you are driving ?

Man the latest build 141 is sweeeet. Loving this community feel, constantly talking to devs & seeing things change / improve on a daily basis. Only my 3rd build since I signed up & lots of fun so far. Saw some new screens of the F68 driver model, looks superb.

@Bigfish try out build 141 if you are a team member. If your a junior I think you will get the update this Friday. Massive improvements on FFB & input lag being reduced a lot. Big step in the right direction.

Forgot to mention, first post on the 141 build topic explains some 'world jitters' that some users are experiencing. I suffered from this, basically feels like your fps is a lot lower than it is. Simple fix is on the first post, although in Friday's build a fix will be in the graphics options apparently.
