Yeah once they put in LOD and Distance clipping expect a better running game.

Atm i get around 40-70fps depends where on the track i am if i use fraps to record i drop to 15-20 :S

Also Build 73 is out now Details

Considering doing this. How do you feel you are going for value for money?

Got into this last night, was a bit disappointed with the feel and FPS initially - then tried the FFB exe with DX11 and it's running okay now (70-90 FPS settings maxed out around Imola, 40-45 FPS on the first half of the main straight) - cars feel a bit better, not sure if it's just the FPS or physics/FFB changes on that exe.

I like how you can interact with the development, certainly adds something to it. I'm not expecting iRacing but this could end up being reasonably fun.

Bennett is also there as well :D

Vid from last night, only done about 10-15 laps before this so a bit O_o

This is done from the replay, too laggy if I fraps/bandicam in real time, so it seems like it's not actually my wheel movements recorded there, it just turns based on where you are on the track at this point I think.

As expected it's not quite polished for some good racing yet, but it has the inner working of a pretty awesome sim racer.

The detail that is getting put into this game is outstanding it's def a game to keep a eye on and watch it grow into a full fledge racer.

I'd love for someone to snap up the development of Live for Speed, give it some licensed cars and tracks, and finally break away from DX8... (I know it's off-topic but surely someone else has been thinking the same thing when they see these other sims popping up from time-to-time...)

wow never knew this existed but that first vid is fail.... its watkins glen not conneticut hill which is a long long way from watkins glen lol
second its from the fail grp that made those **** shift games.

but that said, lets hope its not a wankfest of handling like shift

sure simbin was and i say was the first to start making sims, they are far behind the 8ball now.

slightly mad studios were a bunch of sim heads that made a arcade game, lets hope this is not just another money grab and a actual sim from hasbeen simheads... sorry had to be said .

going to check it out now. have to power up my cockpit without pissing missus off lol

EDIT after drunken rant above lol
i played it for some time today and just sittin down to watch the v8s then practice for the INTEL GT iracing world championships coming dec13th to aust/asia

. imho what a wankfest of handling this game is. reminds me of the first GTR and their failed tire physics that totaly ruined the game and could not be fixed. for some reason they think a car slipping around like its on ice is somehome great tyre physics. even after many many laps in all cars the tries just fail.they ahve released a handfull of tracks and cars but the physics fail big time. not sure what they are aiming for but trying to make a arcade game and a sim game in one? they are not even close to a sim if that is what you are looking for. as for sims go these guys are really slipping backwards and they already lost alot of respect in the sim racing community. sorry but as old as iracing is looking, the car handling and physics are still number 1 for the cars in iracing and for the laser scanned tracks.

their version of watkins glen.... lol nothing like the actual place.

EDIT 2

ok heres +1 in their favour. laserscanning 4 of englands most well know tracks.
Slightly Mad Studios have signed a licensing agreement with Motorsport Visions that will allow four of the company’s UK-based tracks to be added to Project CARS.

Motorsport Vision operates Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park, all of which will be digitally recreated to give players the chance to experience these iconic tracks in various cars.

To ensure a maximum of accuracy and authenticity, the tracks will be laser-scanned with the latest equipment, allowing the development team to capture even the smallest details down to 2mm.

Just in case some of the names don’t ring an instant bell, lets take a closer look at the four new additions to the Project CARS lineup:

but untill they get their physics right, hell they had gtr2 and gtlegends we know they can make real world physics unlike the **** series, oops i meant shiFt

really would like to see something more than iRacing being the only real world sim

Yes it's from the group that made shift but they didn't have much control over the game due to EA standing over the top of them, this on the other hand is all SMS the game is already eye popping and has great pontentional

I finally remembered to buy it, setup my racing wheel and went for it.

BY GOD IS IT VISUALLY STUNNING! Cars I mean, the tracks at the moment are hidious, but I expected that.

Oh and going around Bathurst on the Kart is incredibly fun, especially when your on the straight and you start bumping all over the place.

Ok well ive been driving this alot and iRacing mainly preparing for the Intel GT world championships. C.A.R.S is having a fastest lap in the Caterham R500 Superlight. Well ive been driving this thing and its just totally uncontrolable . its all over the place, understeers oversteers, the rear end has a mind of its own. i was hitting 1.22s and the best is a 1.15 so im a long way off the pace. i started thinking is this game really bad or what is the deal. well i stumbled across this in the cars forum.... and O M G you have to see this thing, it does everything i said before and more, just like the game, just as in real life.

i really think they are onto a great simulation here . i eat my words :P

sit back and enjoy this craziness

I had the same thing with putting my foot down to a point where I worked out if you take off in 2nd you have a 45% chance of going into a spin.

I think its going to make iRacing look like poo if it's done right!

It's got Bathurst? SOLD!

.. one of the big pains for me with iRacing is that the only Australian track is Phillip Island.
