Same old GT with tweaked physics. I am enjoying it so far... I am generally too busy paying attention to the road and to focus on grass textures and trees and things.
I have no issues with the menus and whatnot, either. To me it's not really any different to any other GT game.
Just bought myself a '69 Corvette Stingray and added some parts to the inside and jazzed it up a little on the outside. It drives really nicely after I lowered it a bit and stiffened up the springs.

Game plays nicely with the G25 too... it can just be hard to catch a slide with some of the faster, lighter, more unstable cars.

I've been playing non-stop from about 5pm to 12:30am and I've barely scratched the game. I did the B and A licenses and around 15 single player races, and 4-5 online races with a workmate.
I think it's time to pick up a bluetooth mic for multiplayer.
For me I think GT5 is a bit of a nostalgic trip back to GT2, which is probably why I'm enjoying it so much. GT2 is my favorite console racer.
My only issue is that the AI, a lot of the time just drives around like you're not even on the track, and even then it's not that major.
I honestly don't get why everyone is sooking about the game.
Sounds like too many people have fallen to the hype-machine and had their personal expectations thrown through the roof, so they are disappointed with the final result.
