It was a front page news article for a week, and then in one of the feature boxes for a while after that. Kinda hard to miss... :)

I don't look at the front page, I have the racing forum bookmarked, and that's it.

Nice to let us know here in the forums regardless, as was mentioned... :/

Got the rig together for testing. Need to pull it apart again for minor adjustments to shifter table, sanding and painting/finishing.

im going to start to slowly order parts for home built Frex system. going to check to find a supplier of the aluminium i need and just start on the base first with seat and pedals.

the motion simulator extras will have to slowly come later.

Is that relly yours or a representation of it? The gear and handbrake are on the wrong side!

Can you list some of the parts in there as well?

Yeah it looks like it would.

You have to use your imagination but I designed it based on a triangular prism squared off on each square face. It can't actually move in any direction. I could take all the nuts off and the bolts alone would hold it stable (not true for the shifter table). The only movement in the rig at all is the right hand side of the wheel bench. Leaning my body weight on it that side will lower by about 15-20mm. I had another piece of steel cut to use as a brace, but after doing a few hours testing I can't get it to move while driving. Leaving the last piece out means easy entry/exit.

This is why I never posted that Lamborghini Murcielago picture in the "Post Your Ride" thread and say that I was going to start off by buying the wheels, then the brakes, then the...

Nice work mate! Don't suppose you're in Sydney? I need to do a small mod to my GTxtreme, but have no tools...

You said "I'll have more details next week...", then never came back with the details, not even a hint to maybe look at the front page for more info.

I'll post a photo of my setup on the weekend... once I've got the new Club Sport Pedals installed. Prepare to be

Gonna have to pick up one of these for my DFGT. Being sitting in my cupboard gathering dust (computer desk lip is WAAAAY to huge and well, it just wouldn't work in my room without a external device like the above).

Cheers for the headsup

The only way to read the GoN forums is by clicking the 'View New Posts' at the top right of the page.

Thanks, I'm really stoked it turned out, I still walk past it and giggle that i actually made it. Unfortunately I'm up in bris, but that might be a blessing for you. I borrowed just about everything I used. Before this project I'd never even used a drill properly, let alone cut and weld steel. Needless to say, I don't think you'd want a noob like me hacking away at your rig!
