Personally I think the bigger risk is having someone break into your car and steal it. Walking through the train station car park, I'm gobsmacked to see people leave their GPS attached to the windscreen. It's practically screaming out to a thief, "Hey look at me, I'm shiny and expensive. You can trade me in for your next drug hit! Take me! Take me!"

If I ever use my GPS, I always take the mount off afterwards and leave no evidence that I ever had one.

It's so when someone steals & joyrides in your car, they know where to return it to.

I know people who've had their house broken into after their GPS was stolen.
