So we met. Walked around the city aimlessly looking for a pub that wasn't completely crowded and failed miserably, then chatted about abridged anime series as we walked back to our cars. All in all a terrible first date, but we've met face-to-face now so that barrier is broken :)

Crowded pubs are great. You have to yell in each other's ear, thus closing the physical distance between you and your date ;)

I don't get some people, in what world is it acceptable to scream "**** YOU YA **** **** FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOU AND YOUR MOTHER YOU ****..", this conitnued for about a minute before I told him he'd forfeitted his ticket and hung up on him.

I mean sure, I get that you're frustrated.. I don't make the policy however and those are the terms and conditions you agreed to when purchasing a budget ticket.

Bloody idiot.

Amen. My head is hurty.
Was actually a fairly lame night out, but then again it's Canberra, not exactly known for its nightlife. Although I think I'm in the minority here on the forums, I actually enjoy going out clubbing.

I went out last night and made friends with a group of American political guys on a trip to Australia. Was a hilarious night.

I used to like clubbing/pubbing, pre-marriage and kidlets.

These days I couldn't think of anything worse than a nightclub, or fighting my way thru a busy pub

the only reason they exist is to give young adults a place to go to try and rub against each other.

they sure as hell don't exist for the music...
