I miss shooting, think I might go check out the local SSAA Small Bore Rifle Club, if its half decent I'll join up and buy a .22 for some target shooting and the odd rabbit/fox hunt.

I tried small bore. Decided it was pointless. Absolutely no recoil, no sound and no range on a .22. Might as well be using an air rifle. At least in my new location there's a full bore range, might go check them out.

I'm sure there is a full bore range here too, but small bore is much more affordable and 99% of any hunting I'm likely to do lately is going to be rabbits and foxes, so that will do me just fine.

I'm just wondering whether they only use .22 for comps, or whether any rimless small bore cartridge is acceptable (i.e .17 HMR?)

*sigh*

I miss gaming. It's been 2 weeks, bound to be at least another 20 before I can do anything substantial.

parked my car in same place i have for YEARS. on the side of the road, on a sidestreet along the railway line.
this morning; $80 parking ticket, along with all the other locals down the street.

no signs to say we cant park there, and people have done so for years. very strange.

Sounds like Councils are doing the annual milking of fines.

Started keeping a record book of all my spendings and earnings to help keep track of my money better.

Take the camera, open it up and remove the battery/sd card etc, drop it in a decent sized container of rice, then cover in rice and leave it for a week and try again :) Sometimes this works miricles.
