Yeah I've e-mailed a sparky to come take a look. Very annoying.

Facebook was deleted a long time ago for me, it is such a monumental pile of sh*t. It is nothing more than a way to trap the public into a mass advertising list. Anyone would do well to stay well clear of such things, including Google+.

On another note, HAPPY BDAY MATTY :)

Leaving Facebook is like running away from home when you're a kid, you'll be back in a few hours :P

Also, Happy Birthday?

If you've changed the globe and it doesn't work then the next likely culprit is a transformer which sits just in the roof - easy to replace... (usually - some do require a sparky for legal reasons...)

Just head off to a hardware store rather than a lighting store - it will be cheaper.

Doing one myself this afternoon.

Kabar are awesome! Lost one of the nut and bolts that mount the handle to the knife on my BK7 camp knife. So I email Kabar in the USA to point me in the right direction for a replacement. Their response "We would be happy to send you a replacement set at no cost as a once off".

It really is the little bit of extra effort in the customer service department that makes you love a company.

So - $8:00 for a transformer - got it swapped in - and then dropped the stupid light fitting and broke the actual light...

Swapped one across and tested so at least I know it will work when I get a new bulb.

Also - replaced the security light outside the front door - and a new one for the rear patio - both bulbs in the range hood - computer room now has a bright white light instead of a dingy yellowish - kids' computer niche has an overhead lamp so they aren't working in their own shadow - all up - $100 and some cents...

A good days work - after spending most of the day on a working bee for the boy's scout hall.

Speaking of lights, I've got a queer one in the garage at the moment that the fiance bought - when you flick the switch, it takes 2-3 seconds before the bulb actually lights up and it is so dim you might as well leave it off.

It's good if you leave it on for a few hours.. but as it is I have to take a torch into the garage with me.
