Real mates tell mates that if you buy into the Facebook IPO you are a bloody idiot.

There's no way you'd make any money from it so why would you bother..

Yeah that is my thinking as well. A company that is going to launch at 80 to 100 billion and relies almost totally on advertising revenue is going to have little to no upside. And one which the userbase could just up and walk out on, like people did MySpace. It is a dotcom bubble waiting to happen IMO.

It's potentially a decent short run investment. Buy during the IPO and then sell shortly thereafter as people get all excited and drive the price up. You are correct, Facebook is a massive bubble waiting to burst.

People are talking it trading up to 50% higher, that's crazy talk. Potentially you could make 10-20% but I feel it is a risky proposition.

It may well do that, plenty of Mum & Dad investors that all want a piece of the action.

I envision it being a catastrophe waiting to happen. A lot of small investors who have a relatively large amount of money are going to lose it when it fails.

I try not to think about how much money I've pissed away on overpriced gillette disposable Mach 3 type razors over the last decade :( Better late than never though! Welcome to the brotherhood, what razor/blades are you using?

I've found love with my '64 Gillette Slim Adjustable with Derby Extra's.

I've heard somebody refer to this as Zen dieting - take a small bite and REALLY explore all of the flavour that it has to offer before taking the next...

I'd try it, but I'd fail.

You could tell me why one laptop can connect to my home network just fine, but the other two receive "Limited Access" messages and can't surf the net at all.. >.<

Have tried rebooting the laptops and the router to no avail.
