I love my Alienware OptX 23" 3D monitor. Sure, it's an Alienware meaning I practically payed for the title but in my very humble opinion it was money well spent regarding a monitor. AND HOLY GOD 3D IS AWESOME.

Though 23" doesn't really come close to the 27" you were contemplating.

our neighbourhood is full of them. i love animals...but when its 4am and they start a repetitive yapping concerto i cant help but think about walking the neighbourhood and slaugtering each and every one of them

my only issue with it really is the apparent ghosting in games.. i still... might get it.. damn decision making

Damnit buy the Asus 27"! It's BRILLIANT for gaming.

IPS? I have the dell u2311h ips and it's fine for gaming, never notice any ghosting. Although bright static images like webpages leave a slight burn-in that lasts for a few seconds if I tab to something darker. Not really an issue for me though. Although 27" is HUGE.

One of the reasons i'm looking at it is because i don't have a TV so i watch ALOT of iview and youtube or what not.
