Played some croquet on the weekend, it turned out to be suprisingly awesome. What I never learned from seeing it on TV shows is that more than half the game is about being an absolute **** and smashing your opponents balls as far away as possible so that they can't score first - It's like adversarial snooker.

I got completely schooled by an old retired bloke though. At one stage I blocked his shot to go through a hoop (if he hit mine at all it'd push it through and I'd get the point) so he just did a jump shot right over the top of mine and through the hoop. I didn't even know that was a thing!

i have a very old leatherbound jrr tolkein book of all his artwork. it was made i think in the 70s. my uncle gave it to me. i havent a clue how much its worth, but its a fantastic book.

this dude came into the same emergency ward i was in lastnight, off his chops and high as a kite, diagnosed as manic, and admitted to drugs etc. nothing actually wrong with him, just an anger issue due to the amphetamines he was on.. a little while later i was moved to a quieter ward, the short stay one where people stay overnight for observations etc, he gets put into the same ward, voluntarily. this druggo looking chick comes in, they go out for a "smoke", he comes back 2 hours later completely off his face. the nurses were pissed, such a waste of a bed. the head doctor wanted to kick him out, but couldnt for some reason. seriously.. so many bed wasters there. another guy got a bed because he was drunk. wtf?!

Those same people ^ tie up Ambulances and Police etc too by calling Triple Zero and preventing them from attending real incidents. There should be a fine, but most of the dickheads are probably on Centrelink anyway and wouldn't pay it.

With the amount of medical issues you've got CA, you're lucky you live in Australia!
