Crossbows in qld are a class M weapon, you need a license.

Ah there you go, my apologies!

I'd really like a hunting crossbow for rabbits and foxes, but that can wait til I get to S.A.

I had to laugh at the shop selling a replica SMLE for $550, I could buy the real thing for less.

Gunna invest in a sketchbook to try and improve my drawing. At the moment, I have the drawing capabilities of a 10 year old due to a wrist fracture 10 years ago, which damaged my ability to draw and even my handwriting. So I decided I'm gunna keep practicing with pencils until I can get my drawing ability back before I jump into digital art. Just hoping it doesn't take years to re-develop.

thats the bloody way!
practice makes better is my motto.

which is why i recently picked up a crappy geetarr and have started to practice with that.

seriously, draw, draw, drawn, sketch, doodle, draw more. its the only way.
but i would suggest do all of this in the attempt to find your own style. your own interpretation on all things is important.

i wish you the very best!

I've been trying to draw lately too. My skills havn't improved much since 10 years ago either, but I suppose I havn't really tried until now so that makes sense. Got my sketch book at least, working on figuring out which kinds of pencil I like. Most things I then scan and try to color on the computer, but my digital art looks even worse. I'm trying to learn too many things at once me thinks.

It's a necessary thing that needs to be done. Go watch how most castrate lambs. ;) (notably the 'Dirty Jobs' version)

yeah I know, it doesn't bother me in a "oh dear, how could they do that" way but a "I can't help but imagine my nut sack being hacked up by razor blades" way lol

Writing a book was never supposed to be easy, but do the flashes of inspiration have to come at such stupid times of day - or in this case, so bloody early in the morning?

Doing some online shopping, and this came up when paying.

This transaction will appear on your bill as PayPal *MICHAELDICK.

EDIT: Ah, figured out why. Still...

Keep going! pencils are great but i find they are more "sketchy".
when i work with just textas im forced to be more.. clear.. about each line i draw.

i find both texta and pencils are worth investing your time in, because they get you to think about the shapes you draw in different ways.
you cant really shade in pure black texta, so you are forced to different things to get that effect. pencil is harder to get something to be truly bold and edgelike. so you draw the same thing in a different way - thus breaking down the very idea of what you are drawing.

I'm a step grandson, but still felt honored to be asked to be a Paul bearer. It's been a sad day for all.
