Are there a lot more cheaters lately or what?

Either pub servers are chock full of cheaters now or I just had the weirdest night.

Jumped into ANZ 2 tonight after not playing on a pub server for what must be more than a month and this is what happened:


* 2 of us murdered in cherno store while our overwatch was battle eye kicked (not related)

* overwatch reconnects and blows the guys brains out on top of the fire station, waiting in the rain for noobs to come to the store

* his friend is hiding inside with god only knows what, didn't look like a normal weapon

* my body (fully geared, SAW and an AS50, big pack, nvg's the works) sits there untouched by either of them because they had everything (including radios)

* second guy logs out after taking a couple of rounds from me

* the 3 of us move towards electro, we spy a ghillie suited sniper running along the road towards cherno in the open, he logs out after taking an AS50 round

* take out a sniper on the "sniper hill" berm who's lying in the open holding an AS50-TWS, then his friend who has the same

* cleaning the bodies when i notice 3 more corpses just sitting on the berm about 50m away, looked like a close range firefight with long-guns


total gear count for one hill(over 5 corpses):

3x AS50 TWS

2x L85 AWS

4x big coyote

8x nvg's, gps, rangefinders

3x military radio


Did we just clean up the aftermath of every geared person in the server? Or are 90% of people scripting weapons and gear now?

Other than the first guy who caught us unaware and was blasting some kind of hiphop, not a single one of them fired a shot or reacted even remotely right when we engaged them, they had top tier gear and not a single clue how to use it.

Hackers and scripters galore. The game has lost its charm, the feeling of finding awesome gear has gone when everyone is ghille suited and nv equipped.

Yeah, the hackers have just exploded out, and ruined the game for everyone else. I've never seen a case of a game being so blatantly wrecked by hackers, it's driven its popularity sharply down - seem to be less people playing now. Hackers are having a good old time, but at the expense of everyone else, so the legitimate players have, for the most part, moved on. Its a damn shame.

Even without having many hacker experiences myself, I've lost interest in the game.

Hopefully the standalone will reignite my interest..

I'd say of about 15 plays in recent weeks 10 of those have been plagued by hackers. Between that and dying in doorways or on stairs I haven't been playing it much at all.

Logged on for a session with my cousin today.. sneaking around Cherno when I come up behind a ghillie suited sniper firing out of a building. Emptied 6 revolver rounds into him, only to have him turn around and fire from the hip with some sort of silenced assault rifle, run out of ammo, reload while I'm putting more rounds into him, and then he killed me.

Not before I could get caps and yell "GO DIE IN A FIRE YOU ****** USELESS **** OF A CHEATER".. :/

Could be worse, last night i got accused of being a hacker for killing a random running through the field behind the electro power station with my l85-AWS, the hilarious part is that he had a radio etc himself and was back less than 2 minutes later plinking at me with an m4 acog he "found" somewhere.

Spent a few hours counter sniping around there before we killed a sniper team and had them tele into the field in front of us and just stand there shooting and not taking any damage. Luckily I got my gear back, I think we killed about 1/4 of the server around electro and they all had radios and thermal gear (of either type), the Aus servers are the worst atm.

I came across a dead gillie suited player in a barn near Soly this morning and next to him was a Medical Box. I thought "thats weird, never seen one of them outside of a MASH or Hospital!" Well wasnt I in for a surprise when I opened it! 50 of everything!!!! And I do mean everything. It turns out that there was another body in the barn. It seems the scprit kiddie snuck in to have a feed and replenish his stocks and didnt realise there was someone else in the barn with a Double Barrelled shoty....up close and personal, they killed each other. So I did what any sensible survivor would do and filled up on loot and GTF outta Dodge before kiddie respawns and pawned me. I didnt however take a AS50 just food water bottle G36SD M9SD and filled my toolbelt. I shall see how I go with that lot....btw the barn is on the south side of Soly heading west from the t junction.

G36sd isn't a spawn weapon in dayz I'd probably get rid of it. Any hackers I find and kill. I just hide their bodies. Trying to stop high end equipment saturation on my own.

if the boxes had satchel charges, i'd plant a couple at the box and watch it go boom
