It's awesome to see so many Day Z servers up in Australia, I really didn't expect to see even ONE full Day Z server. But today, after reinstalling ARMA 2 and OA freshly, updating them etc, I see not one half full server, but 5-6 full, 50 player servers *gobsmacked* :O
However after FINALLY managing to get into a server, and tasting the mod for about 2mins, I get kicked from the server for having too high a ping....
"You were kicked from the server REASON: High ping" or a message of the sort.
I thought it was very strange considering my ping was only 48ms (I have a habit of checking my ping when I get into a server on every game).
So I joined another server (could not rejoin, as it was full), and as soon as I loaded the level and my player, I was kicked for high ping because of Battleye.
Every single Day Z server is doing this, despite my ping only being only 40-65ms.
(Not just the GoN server either).
It seems i'm not the only one suffering from the ping kicks. Some servers when I managed to stay on for a minute or two, I would notice the vast number of players joining and being kicked 2 seconds later for high ping.
I have an 8mbit connection, not running on wireless, freshly installed ARMA 2 and Operation arrowhead, both of which are fully up to date, I even updated the BattlEye client in my ARMA 2 and OA BattlEye directories.
What is the ping limit for the GoN server? And why am I being kicked for high ping when my ping is less than 65ms?
I know this would be more of a BattlEye problem as it's not just the GoN server, so I guess i'm posting this here to see if anybody is experiencing similar, or if anybody has any solutions so that I can enjoy the experience with the rest of you.
Thankyou kindly in advance
