Hey All,

Currently throwing around the idea of setting up a group of like minded players who want to help out other survivors in need with medical supplies, food and drinks.

This group will predominatly be for the Australian and New Zealand servers, although willing to go on to US and EU servers if our ping allows it.

I have set up a website at http://anzacsr.enjin.com/ so if you are interested drop over and sign up.

Everything is still being put together so if you think you would like to be a part of the core team to a group like this please don't hesitate to contact me.

There's already a guy who does this. his name is something M.D.

Nice, I lost my NV FAL running into the Barracks on a server with 2/50 people. The one other person was sitting there. lol.

Wasteland M.D. is the big guy, but there's a whole subreddit dedicated to it - http://www.reddit.com/r/redditrescueforce

Very laggy, if not down completely.

Been watching this video series of a guy playing about 2 months back, and is it just me, or was the game easier back then? This guy picks up food/water/ammo everywhere, and crawls past every zombie within a few meters, in front of them and everything and barely gets noticed.

Yeah it's changed quite a bit. They can hear you when you crawl fast.

Like today. Crawled into Novy Sobor messed up and agro'd 1 zombie, which alerted even more. Ended up having to clear the town.
It was actually quite fun clearing the town, I may have found a new DayZ hobby.

The detection parameters were changed to a different system a few patches ago, it's broken and has been totally reworked for 1.5.2 so they won't hear you through half a city anymore.

The food issue is because of the extra additions to the loot tables, most buildings now spawn axes, crowbars, wood, 2 piece shotgun shells, fuel cans and a couple of other things, there's a lower chance of finding food and water because the spawns a shared between too many items. Luckily the animal spawns are dramatically more common than in the older versions and you can hunt for food easily anywhere in the map.

TBH I actually think that the game is easier now than it ever was, zombies are a much lower threat than they were, even just a couple of patches ago when they spawned twice as fast, although perhaps that's a little to do with me having started earlier and the broken detection not being conductive to sneaking like the earlier patches were.

Hobbies are fun! i went with a group a few days ago, found a crashed heli site (already picked clean) we didn't know that. Don't worry guys i got the zombies.

Run full tilt into the crashed heli area, start doing figure 8's all over the place, 10 zombies finally. Looked over my shoulder, realized i missed one, as i ran at it.

Started running away from the crashed heli site, with the zombies in tow for them to tell me nothing was there, got frusterated and started shooting the zombies.

Another one is lobbing flares into a school at night time, when your team mates have night vision goggles on <3 8 flares later the whole area lit up. didn't have a thing to worry about.

Be careful with that, if the server isn't running optimally then you can run/drive into an area before entities spawn, roadblocks won't be there, zombies won't spawn and loot won't either, because of the spawn mechanic if you run in and it hasn't registered yet then it will just look empty until you leave. Run 100m away (so your grass stops rendering around the chopper) and check it with your binoculars/optics to make sure it's REALLY empty.

Hive is getting DDoS'd pretty damn hard thismorning so you might all want to not log in till it's given the ok, there have been reports of the server deleting character data as people brute force a log in and it's not worth risking it.

I was spawned TWICE in the wasteland tonight because Hive was corrupting my data before i figured out wtf was going on (Canada 2 fix ftw btw). Luckily I kept all my gear and I went loud before the campers in C2 could shoot me, somewhere out there are 2 VERY unhappy debug campers who didn't bank on a SAW gunner spawning 30ft in front of them, buried dem Gucci guns and their nvg's/gps deep .

Lighting up all of Elektro with Flares at 2am NZT so your friends on the hill can watch your back while you roam around your own personal town.

Yeah, idiots think it's funny to put barbed wire everywhere. It's really not, rocket needs to fix it tbh. On most populated servers everywhere is barbed wired.

They need to just make it so you can roll your mouse wheel to a "cross barbed wire" option which takes 6 seconds or so, that way it still has a purpose but you can't just stupidly grief with it.
