It's not good news at all.

When have you EVER seen a server in OZ that can handle that many players? It's just a false gimmick to look cool.


Tried joining today. Good waste of 30 minutes. With almost 60 players on, half had ping over 200ms! Bit of a joke. This is the only server I've ever seen that's had so many high-ping overseas players dominate it. Quite a few had pings of 350-400ms, and no surprise that a lot of them were just there for some PvP.

I had to give up after trying to get in after 30 minutes. Sure, I could finally join the server for a change as there was enough slots, but the server was lagging so badly I never even got my character loaded.

Makes no sense to me that they increase the slot cap to cater for more foreign players who just ruin the performance for everyone else anyway. Without those 25-30 high ping players right now the server would be golden.

It really isn't hard to implement a ping kicker, 200 limit for each server. PVP people can get lost I'll just leave if they start doing that.

It's funny when I see someone acting like a prick the whole time, I look at their ping, and 9/10 they have >300ms. They have like six 50 slot servers for themselves now...

And they keep calling us british. :x

Nice to see some Americans living up to their arrogant/ignorant stereotype... Which is a shame because I know there are some rather friendly US players out there :(

These servers are so damn unstable above 25 players.. The OZ one is down again for the bazillionth time. Maybe they should look at doing 2 30 slot server instead..

It's not unstable, they just keep shutting it down to change settings. Damn annoying since they don't warn us 5min before hand like they should be.

They are probably trying to find the sweet spot for data transfer as they must have a fairly tight allowance or something on the server.

After playing this earlier today I have to say that I strongly agree with the idea of GON hosting a server. Not only is it awesome fun, the server's slots will fill up faster than the proverbial selling of hotcakes. It would be an extremely popular server if what I saw of the figures on the other servers are anything to go by.

Nah the servers crash frequently,.

Code is updated at most once per day, usually 2-3 days apart, yet the servers crash several times a day.


AUSCOG (previously OGN ArmA) is hosting the new Oz server atm, but they pay for bandwidth, so will probably shut it off in a day or two as it's chewing through b/w like crazy.

Need a provider who can offer the speed and unlimited bandwidth to keep up with the high demand of this server.

Was MUCH better tonight after they dropped the ping limit to 250ms.
