if you look at what version you are running you'll see 1.7.2.3

if you look at the gon server names they'll say 1.7.2 (no .3) they are different version and that would be why you cant join
they also tell you what beta is being used

Are you using the six launcher to connect to servers lee? I thought it was fairly good, shows servers running the same version as you in white, and the grey ones are running a different version.

Most of the time that's correct though not always ;)

Stop trying to joing GON servers for one thing.

Try Orcon, AUSARMA, ON3 and the other NZ/ANZ ones.

ive been joining us servers all weekend. i cant get on anything local. despite the greater ping ive had an absolute blast. i managed to find an alice pack and have it packed to the brim with goodies at one point. though i never managed to get anything beyond pistols and axe.

Died for the first time just then, very sad :( After a couple of days of having crappy gear I finally got some good stuff, then out of nowhere someone shoots me and the guy I was playing with. Not a happy camper lol.

i know that if you spawn in a cluttered area, it despawns zombies immediately around you...

do you know if its the same for loot? eg, i spawned off just next to the cherno grocery store, ran in and it was barron... so i dc/d close to there for when I want to play later... do you think the loot will be back by then?

Loot doesn't change unless it's moved off the spawn, you can run away and back as much as you like and it will still be the same. If there's nothing at all then either the server is broken or you logged in too close so it wont spawn, in that situation you can run away 100m or so and it will start spawning.

yar he hit me once, and missed on 2 other shots, and took off running as i stood up. he was either trying to get a better vantage point or was going to go run away before i killed him.

I play anti bandit and anti grief, wandering around the costal cities taking down barbed wire. and shooting guys who shoot at each other.

though if you come running up to me with a weapon out not saying anything you might have a clip unloaded into you just for safty reasons

Funny how all your best friends run around shooting people for fun.

Yesterday logged in near Elektro in a Ghillie. Heard a scuffle. Turned. Guy's run down the hill near me and is crouched at a tree. Pulls out binocs. I check his tags to make sure it's not me like last week, pop with the M1911. So and so has died.

Loot: GPS, MP5SD. Cool beans, I'll drop my M16 then. Go away from the body, switch M16 for M107, come back, drop M16, pick up MP5, ggrab some food and water and turn back to have a quick snipe.

Wait, what the ****? Where's the M107? It's meant to be in my backpack, but somehow the switching weapons routine **** up that moment for the first time in 3 days and I lost my rifle.

Decided to get the **** out right there and then since a sniper without a rifle is merely a soldier in a bush, and I ran off. Got to a deer stand and found an M4A3 CCO - sweet! I'll VERY CAREFULLY, swap my MP5SD to backpack so I can drop that M16.

Minutes later and I'm ragequitting the game because it deleted my **** MP5 and now I'm running around with an M4A3 CCO which is OK, but I miss having my 1.2km lethal range rifle.
