That being said, all the servers did lag up the other day and rego was awful :D

really? source is a relative dream for crappy PC's, mine is 5 years old and it still runs great (mind you it cost me 2g's back then).

honestly you could probably sell the PS3 and buy a computer that could run it with the proceeds lol

I run my pc on a 55" TV via a HDMI cable. Need an upgrade. Badly.

Great. Love it.

but..

years of BF, COD and the likes of other such games has left me useless.

I enjoy the mission back to greatness.

I'm enjoying it so far. I'm pretty rubbish at it but I hope to improve

Well I've successfully thrown things around the room and tipped a chair over in one of my play sessions recently, so it's definitely playing like CS should :B

I'm getting sick of some of the massive pinged people joining aussie based servers though. Nothing is more frustrating than shooting at someone then ducking behind cover, only to find you missed all the shots then dying because you were in fact still in the open on the other side of the world!

The game itself however is shaping up very nicely. I'm getting back to the AK **** from yesteryear and also finding it easier to use the sniper rifles again. I like the scope blur when you're moving too, gives a good indication that you'll have bad accuracy for those people who keep strafing whilst shooting :P

Had to turn off mouse acceleration though as it was giving me the willies :P

Hahaha, nail on the head guys. I'm sure a lot of the "tears" are going to be from new players who have never played CS before, along with old vets deluded by nostalgia of CS 0.3490842398034.

Either way I'm absolutely rubbish at this game and I'm pretty keen on getting stuck into it with some mates, perhaps we can recreate this scene sometime? :D

I bought CS:GO a couple nights before the release and have been playing for a couple hours every night. Mind you I haven't played CS a lot since 1.6 when I foolishly considered myself a "pro"! I tried to play CSS but ultimately found it too jarring and not a true successor to 1.6.

CS:GO however is very impressive in it's current form. I disagree with people about the AK and M4 recoil. It's a bit hectic but once you learn how many bullets you can use in a burst and where they go in a full spray it gets very useful at close and mid range just like 1.6. The hitboxes are much better than CSS although there is a bit of the onlineness where some of your bullets just don't hit but that's been around since forever. Headshots are more rewarding now I think. I've only seen on a couple occasions someone gets a lucky running away full auto spray headshot which is a farcry from what I saw in CSS.

Overall I think that CS:GO is a great follow up to one of the best online shooters of all time and I'm enjoying playing CS again which is the most important part :)

consider the dates of those posts about recoil, pretty sure they were from weeks if not months ago and the game was a very different animal back then. I started playing the beta back in May and if it released in that state I would have hated the game..

Yeah I did notice that. Not sure why I ended up typing that sentence though!
