I mean you could put everyone between blue and red teams only to find red team has full level 30 players and in blue everyone is only level 10.

I have a lvl30 account with 630ish wins.

This is very true, imo a match can be ruined by low level players. So maybe it's worth having lvl 30 vs 30 and 30< vs 30<

Im lvl 30 with 300ish wins

One of you LoL players should help Tera out with organising that then since you'll know how to sort the players, pick maps etc or whatever needs to be done since it doesn't seem like he plays it. You might find you want to organise teams so you can all add each other on steam or whatever and get some practice in / prepare strats or whatever you do for that game.
What can change the nature of a man?

Speaking of organising game rules. How are we going about the TF2 rules? Perhaps some of us from the TF2 community should get involved as it can get rather complex, unless you have it covered Tera.

That's awesome news, looks like I'll be needing your help then :P

I'll try my best to get the teams equal (across all games).

Yeah, I've never really played any of the DoTA games, not really my thing. If one of you guys is keen on lending a further hand let me know, when we actually get started any help will be appreciated.

Shamelessly stolen from another TF2 comp;

"The winners of each map are the first to five wins on Standard Control Point maps, the team with the most points at the end of a preset time limit on Payload maps, or the first to four wins on King of the Hill maps."

Would work fine for us as we're going to have one of each map type. Any thoughts on limiting class numbers?

Perhaps just use the class restrictions the servers already have?

Afaik there aren't any class restrictions on the node servers.

As for class numbers, it all depends on how seriously people take it. A good team can adapt fine, however if its just a bunch of randoms together on the day it could pose a problem.

just a FYI, 6v6 is the structure the comp/pro players use. It's quite a big change in normal 12v12 TF2 tactics. If you like I can start a thread in the TF2 section and get some of the regulars and admins to drum up a set of rules everyone agrees on (saving clogging up the registration thread)?

Just a question. How will the teams be formed? Names out of a hat or team captains or just, form teams as people see fit?
EDIT: As this could potentially change the rules for TF2

I'm starting to think that keeping an overall red/blue team balanced between all the games is a bad idea. I mean you might be able to balance the teams in skill for TF2 but that doesn't mean the teams are also balanced for LoL (eg: red and blue are balanced for TF2 but of the members red team has a large advantage in LoL but if you change any members that screws with TF2's balance, I hope this makes sense :S ). I think you should possibly think of keeping each game separate in terms of teams, it'll be infinitely easier to balance.

Also i'd be up for help with LoL (unsure how much help i'd actually be though :( ) but in general the main map would be 5v5 Summoner's Rift with 5v5 Dominion being a bonus round if you desire. You could also potentially have a 3v3 Twisted Treeline Tourny alongside the main one if there are players left over.

Also how will the matches be structured? As in will it be best of 3? A ladder approach if some games end up with enough players to have up to 4 teams?

Team formation and even the final game modes are all dependant on the numbers we end up with on Sunday. However random draw is the most likely outcome.

Also, with the week gap between most events there will be some time to sort out the kinks and finalise teams/maps/modes.

Matty and exe3, check you PM :)

Are you suggesting that a team for 6 snipers and 2 spies is ineffective??!!

I was thinking more along the lines of an experienced team using 3 medics and 5 heavys and rolling the lesser skilled team :P

It will NOT be pro-mod. Trying to keep it as simple as possible.
