Will no doubt be on again tomorrow night/arvo for a longer run I must find my skins again too now I think of it.

Hey guys, to help us organise to get together for some practice races/laps, I'm going to set an "official" practice session for Thursday 9pm EST on the server (that's 6pm Western). You don't have to come, but I will be there and happy to chuck in some races for some fun, or just general laps.

Come do some laps, join and depart whenever you like but I will aim to be there starting at that time

Looks like I need help, just loaded it up (the demo) and tried to set up my gamepad with it (Xbox 360 USB) and while it registers the buttons for the different actions, when I go into the training practice I can't really do anything except change gears. It won't accelerate or anything like that.

Any ideas?

hmm, really hard to say without seeing, but LFS has fantastic controller support, even when many devices are plugged in. It would be just something you are missing somewhere in the process. IS it a typical Xbox layout controller and you want triggers as the throttle/brake?

EDIT - yes I am a dumbass, i see now you wrote it is a 360 controller Im sure others might want advice with this too to get it right, so maybe I will do a little instructional vid on controllers for LFS and post it by morning.

Basically you want to go to the Axes section, right side of controls menu, and assign the correct axes to you desired function

Forgive the crappy audio, my headset was flat so I just used the webcam as my mic input (which picked up the sound of the game through the monitor) - Let me know if you still have probs

Haha I was actually looking to see if you were online on Steam to tell ya since it was only the other day you were asking about the LFS event heh. Should be good fun, I'll be out on the track throughout the week for some practice!

Yeah much the same for me, trying to get the FBM right again. Back down to mid 14's, but I use to manage 13's easily once upon a time, trying to get the car feeling right to get back down to that.
