Republic....boring

So I went to roll an Sith Assassin last night and thought "screw it, why not roll a Jedi Shadow and experience different starter planets"

Now granted Im only level 7, but the story so far is sub-par. I feel almost no urgency, there will be no consequences if I failed my mission, I am not getting any of the excitement I felt during my Agent quests.

Have I been spoilt by possibly the best class storyline in the game?

Does it get better?

I have heard (after asking in general chat) that Smuggler's storyline is good too, but that would feel a bit samey after an IA I think.

Jedi Consular has the worst storyline in the game.

I think the Jedi Knight story is the best for the Republic, the final boss fight is awesome!

Now there's your problem. Tython is an **** hole of a planet and boring as heck. It kind of picks up after leaving, but it is seriously the worst starter planet.

Yeahhh, as a level 50 consular i'd say i still have no bloody idea wtf i was doing for my entire story... It changed half way through and its like the first 35 or so levels of story never even happened :/

Hutta was fun as an Agent, I even got in trouble for doing the side quests and "wasting time".

Sith Inquisitor story is fantastic from what I played in beta (finished chapter 1) also really enjoyed my trooper storyline.

Yeah I played Bounty Hunter in beta, so eventually I'll roll a trooper for variety.

I'll second that one, the end of both act 2 and 3 had me pretty interested on what was going to happen next. So far not as impressed by the consular/trooper story lines.

Play a smuggler, but make it a different advanced class.

The smuggler storyline has some of the best comedy writing you'll find in any Bioware game. The agent story is very 'serious', but the smuggler storyline is more of a comedy. Just think of how Han Solo's main purpose in Star Wars was one liners.

I liked the Consular story, especially later in the game. Fate of the Jedi/Republic kind of stuff. It's sort of a slow build up to the pay-off though.

Besides, have fun playing nothing but Hutt-ball if you're on Empire.....
