Great, **** game just crashed after waiting in queue for 2 or so hours.

Had 300 people to go!

Ahh well, back to playing Skyrim.

Cept now all the stores are closed. IT SHALL BE DONE FOR TOMORROW!

There are easier ways to do it. But the negative is you're taking up a slot that could be used by a player.

I think I might just make a script to launch the game log in ~2hours from finishing work, then I won't take anyones spot either cause I'll be back in time :D.

Just did a queue test for a direct comparison. On the Ajunt Pall server I was able to fire up the game just then and get in with no queue.

There were also plenty of people in the zones at 6:30 pm.

Tell me again why people rolled on Swiftsure. I'm not seeing a positive benefit.

I've not played it enough to tell.

But I'm having fun.

Though the stupid thing is, if the 300 odd excess players trying to get into Swiftsure would just go somewhere else as a group, then a second core Aussie server would be instantly created and everyone's problems would be solved.

I do think it would be beneficial for Bioware to label two or three servers as oceanic. Their region locking has failed due to our freedom to import.

According to whirlpool

http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/swtor

The second unofficial aussie pvp server at the moment is Wound in the Force. So come join me. I cracked it with damn 2 hour queues on The Swiftsure.

There was never any region locking
Only company region locking is EA with Origin.

It'd be more accurate for me to say distribution locking. EA's not providing any copies to Australian Origin or any Australian retail stores.

They're trying to limit things, but it's leading to other issues as well rather than if they just met the problem head-on. It shows they didn't really plan for this.

What they should have done is just do a normal worldwide release, but provide 4 oceanic recommended west coast servers. Seems like the more intelligent choice.

Yeah I might try out one of the alternate servers tomorrow night after work, gives me a chance to play out the entire BH storyline too, just got to 12 on my Sorcerer but I dunno if I want to play it, love the story, the gameplay not so much, after seeing a merc shooting me in the face to heal me that seems oddly attractive to play haha, or maybe Powertech BH I can't decide :(.

The Harbinger has an insane number of Aussies playing... and quite a few US folk are getting mighty pissed about it! :D
