Haha as I read the reviews it's overall rating seems to be slowly dropping.

I don't get why this game generates so much hype. People are willing to hand over cash for the same game re-badged for the 5th time. I was watching a mate play it today and I just kept thinking.. how long can it go on?

The published reviews seem to be afraid of pissing off the fans, but I saw this coming. Apparently its only got a 4 hour campaign and the online component is essentially the same as its predecessors. Sure graphics don't make a game... but it seriously looks bad to me now, very outdated.

People are literally handing over money just because their mates have the new game, so they have to have it too. Its the only valid reason I can think of to pick up the next CoD game, this game is valued at what people are willing to pay for it, not what it is actually worth.

I actually feel the same way about the Assassin's Creed games ever since the second one. But you can't blame a company for cashing in on peoples stupidity.

Did they expect a completely new game and gameplay?

Seems most of the fan reviews are dissapointed they got the same product as MW2, essentially a DLC with new maps.

Also, graphics suck.

I would even rate BF3's SP over MW3. It's so short and even more cliche.

Which is why it baffles me that it's getting rave reviews from proper reviewers.

It's a sequel. I'm not sure what the users reviewing it on Metacritic were expecting if not more of the same - that's the whole idea of a sequel.
It's going to be interesting to see if over time the user review average comes up to meet the professional one or if the disparity remains.

I'd pay $20 for the Co-Op.. thats it. Honestly it looks like DLC to me with some single player attached.

From what I have played on the single player campaign I would say it's ok.
I wouldn't say it's better than BF3 single player but I guess that could come from the fact that the storyline involves some of the old favourites from the previous games.

As far as the plot goes...well I don't really invest too much into it, I just watch the cutscenes for the hell of it and then go about doing what needs doing.

Yeah the graphics are obviously out dated and don't go near touching BF3 but with that said it's not like they're that ugly that you could mistake it for doom.

Definitely not worth the asking price not that I would ever give activision another cent after MW2 and their crappy IWNET.

For those thinking they would be getting something new from the franchise well I guess they can always dream.
