How is the game so far (for PC only)?

Hey guys.

Trying to gather ideas on how MW3 is so far. My main objective of this post is to compare it to BF3 (to see whether i should get it). I know it is too early to tell just yet, however i'm guessing there are some people that would have pulled all nighters playing the game. post away if you still are awake :p

This is for the PC version only. Keep it to PC experience because the PC version usually gets the most problems from all the realeased compared to the console

- Are there any problems (by this, i mean MAJOR problems that make the game unplayable. e.g. Crash to desktop, Game freeze, incredible amounts of lag etc.).
- How is the gameplay
- Lag/server issues?
- Hardware issues? (on minimum requirements and over, does it handle ok?)
- If you can compare it to Battlefield 3, please do (in terms of gameplay, performance, whether it requires more power in your computer to run well)and try not to be biased.

Major glaring issue with multiplayer - no Aussie servers.

Theoretically there are no 'servers'. You have to party up like MW2 to be able to gain rank, etc.

Dedicated servers need to be run of person VPS's or via a server host, all of which are waiting for proper documentation from IW and Activision.

This might help mate. Honestly if you have played MW2 or BOPS - alot, you will find its more or less the same game.

I got Mw3 today at 1 pm, so now I have both games, I decided to see witch was the best,

Mw3 multiplayer was extremely disappointing, it's worse that mw2 and maybe black ops,
Maps are mostly small and forward,
Guns just don't feel right, they all feel like the originals with chunckyer barrels and more side rails
Titles, camos and emblems all very similar,
Faction badges look ****
Killstreaks ok, just ok


Single player:
The story is very enjoyable, alot of lose ends tied up, explains things from cod4, 6
The gameplay just dident feel right, felt more black ops
There's one part with a little american girl in London that made me **** myself
The weapons to pick up were all the same so there's less choice, weapons very repetitive
Fake but slightly fun


MW3 was worse than I thought,
BF3 in my heart at the moment

I personally have not yet played MW3 - but after playing BF3 for over a week now if i do end up playing it - it will be once im done with BF3... and thats gonna be awhile

The multiplayer is definately unchanged from MW2... just new maps and things take AGES... like the animation for throwing flash grenades and reloading... just so SLOW

Singleplayer great though... actually enjoying it.

No doubt back to BF3 once done though.

Based on your responses on MW3 amd With all the issues currently existing in BF3 i think i might just have to either wait until another FPS is released...

I have an issue with the game, Cant change the graphics settings.
When I try it will crash to the desktop.
Any ideas?

MW3 will most likely be fun, just not $99 fun.

I also have the some opinion of battlefield 3.

I've noticed that too, there's a relatively long period after you've thrown a grenade or stun in which you can't deploy anything else.

Try pulling out the USAS-12 to quickly use, trust me you will fail =P

Unfortunately I kept my shotgun in hidden tags and so was unable to get to it in time.
