Terrible servers

Can i please make a suggestion (if this is the appropriate place for it),
Could you please change the server names to reflect the games modes being offered, for example, AUS - games.on.net - #08 - HC - Back to Karkand 225%, is actually a mixed game mode and mixed map mode hardcore server, but without using your filters (which alot of people aren't using) you wouldn't know that. Can i please suggest adding at least Mixed Mode to the server name, ie. AUS - games.on.net - #08 - HC - Mixed Mode - 225% Tickets, at least make the server names a little more specific. Most of the Clan servers are full because they generally put more detail into their server names.

Hopefully it would generate more in your servers.

we have found that getting just about any server "started" just takes time. last night when we got on and the only AU/NZ servers full had metro 24/7 going. 4 of us jumped on a empty server around 8pm within 30 minutes it had all 48 players and was still like that when I logged off at 1.30am.

I found the same happening with Black Ops, it's quite the unfortunate phenomenon.

Is this what your seeing in battlelog when you look?

Back to Karkand Map Pack is the four maps.

Server number 8 HC is only conquest, don't believe what battlelog shows you when hovering over the map pictures as Dice went and renamed the maps and now they don't show correctly in battlelog, you will find the first three show as Rush and the last as conquest large they are all conquest mode maps in the server.

An example server name that i play on is: (( -D2K- )) [HC]-Mixed Mode-Mature Players [AU]

It is a mixed mode server, it has Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch rotations as well as all map rotations.

Leave Game Mode Rotation unticked and you will see all three HC servers, and don't even bother with the free slots filter as you have most likely found it's a bit crazy.

Using your exact filters ticked I still see number 8 HC.

In a server name you can only use so many characters and after the AUS - games.on.net it doesn't leave much room for a better description.

I only use games.on when doing a search but it works both ways from trying it.

Personally i wouldn't use any filters except for the three down the side and ranked and punkbuster, then I do a search for games.on as sometimes we will create a new server with some options that players may or may not like and they get overlooked because of too many custom filters ticked, they do work well but sometimes they can work against you too.

Thanks for that, i was just playing on that server (with the extra tickets rounds took forever). I was mostly wanting some gamemode rotations that include Conquest, Rush and TDM, that way, there is no need to 'server hop' as that server has a nice variety of game styles.

Would you be able to modify another server so that it has the following attributes:

Hardcore mode
Normal amount of tickets
Every Map (B2K) included
Game Modes: Conquest, Rush, TDM

With the game mode rotation it would be good if you could play one map of Conquest, then another different map of Rush, then another different map of TDM and continue on in that fashion.

I am only asking as games.on.net have great servers and i have never had any 'disconnecting' issues whilst on them.

As it wasn't being used it is now a HC server same setup rush/conquest may stick some single rounds of a couple of the TDM maps into the mix of the current rush/conquest if players know a good rotation idea for which TDM maps.

I feel that some decent well balanced TDM maps are, Caspian border, Seine Crossing, Kharg island, Sharqi Peninsula, Grand Bazaar and Firestorm.

Is it possible to set a larger playing area, so its not so small?

funny...I spent a long while playing sniper to try to unlock the L96 via the assignments. I eventually got it and had fun doing it (I normally stay away from sniper....I can't shoot for $hit) but once I unlocked the L96....I didn't bother using it and just stayed with the SV98 or whatever that rifle is. meh.

Same here, the SV, I feel, is much better to play with over the L96. The L96 seems really inaccurate compared to the SV98.

yeah - I had the same experience in BFBC2 - can't remember the name of the rifle but there was one which I used constantly to get to the L96 and beyond, but still kept using it even after unlocking the others.

Same thing with the other weapons I find...nice to unlock but fkg useless! lol. eg. I still think the best rifle in the Assault category is the M16A3. Good rate of fire, quick reload, low recoil, 30 round mag...1 up the spout!
