Oh, games vs real warfare debate. The closest game i have come to that adds the atmosphere of fire fights, fearing for my life would probably be Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2. That game gave you VERY little health, very high damage models for weapons, AWESOME sound to the point that you could hear someone russling in the bushes a fair distance away and every step you took could put you in your grave... with no respawn in alot of modes!

Sure you had a electronic HUD and a few other goodies to make it future orientated but the atmosphere / movement was great. My fav tactical shooter of all times!!!

Little health? try the original ghost recon then or the old rainbow six before it and ghost recon turned into the console action game.

little health and few gadget at all though heartbeat sensors saves my arse too many times to count.

Never played a Ghost Recon game, might be worth a look though.. I hear they're a bit more tactical and that might be a nice change without delving into ARMA.

Hell yeah Ghost Recon was awesome for tactics and suspense on missions with the AI being good, at times you were **** scared to move to a new position for fear of a AI shooting you on the fly or a sudden movement and then being shot by one of your LAN friends who was also jittery.

I finally managed to try my hand at the COD MW3 multiplayer last weekend (was free on Steam just for the weekend) and boy did I realise how **** it is. its just like a slightly improved version of MW2 multiplayer. comparing that to the graphical detail, etc in BF3 is like comparing a PS2 to a PS3. yuck.

thank goodness I didn't waste my hard-earned $$ on that ****. MW3 ain't got nothing on BF3.

Yeah MW3 Multiplayer is just dreadful, the single player + co-op was worth $20 though.
