Not that it helps but I think I saw someone suffer from this other day, wondered what was going on as I watched them pirouette down a hallway.

I used to get that a loong time ago with certain mice (in no particular game), I have no idea what might be causing it but I assume it's mouse related.

Do you have a joystick connected (or mapped)?
This used to happen to me before I cleared out all the joystick mappings...

Disconnected joystick - removed EVERY key mapping - then put back only the ones I wanted. Problem solved.

quite often its just a mouse laser with a bit of dust or fluff or a hair which is tripping the movement registry around.

I used to get that years ago when my mouse couldn't track the surface (ie. wasn't on a mouse pad), that was on one of those old mouse with red light. Haven't had it since my laser mouse.

I haven't played BF3 in months now, started playing again yesterday and every time I log into Origin it wont accept my password and I have to reset it (to the same thing) every time.

lol same here mate! haven't played since Dec from memory. I got NBA2K12 (highly recommend btw) and have been glued to it since.

Yeah.. over it already. No-where near as much playability as BC2 IMO.

yeah I know what you mean. I miss the mass tank wars of DC - atleast that was fun. I hate the tunnel vision you get in the jet (who flies a jet with your head glued to the HUD???) as well.

I might pick it up again in a month or two when I get bored with NBA2K12.

the close up HUD view i normally use for ground strafing in combat flight sim titles (they all have the view), but i do agree that we could've at least be given a different cockpit view with more field of vision than just 1, similar to how most flight sim titles give you several cockpit view most of which are adjustable as well.

I wish it was as good, but it's not :( I even miss the BC2 maps, and I miss being able to 1 hit kill at long range with a sniper rifle (I suck at headshots).

I finally found out why my knife was so temperamental, the key was also mapped to Inventory up which I don't even know what that does. So now I can go back and knife dudes and chain link fences.

so play hardcore mode.
seriously, bf3 took a bit of getting used to for me, was so used to being comfortable in BC2 and BF3 still has moments that I am not comfortable in. but its a better game than BC2, more depth is every field...maps, weapons, different options..etc. it wins

Except in BF3 you still don't get the sense of "Oh **** I've been shot!" as you did with BC2. The health needs lowering/weapons need buffing.

I still wish they created large battle-type maps with lots of armour on both sides, similar to Firestorm but more open, similar to the SP mission in BF3 (where you start out looking at the dinosaur). Enough with the buildings already. Have 2 attack helis on each side and you're rocking.

Same with the a/c - large open maps with lots of a/c on both sides. now THAT would be awesome. I can't stand playing Caspian because of the size and the lack of vehicles such that you end up walking and becoming target practice for the 50 or so snipers.
