Yerah, it works fine from the notifications pulldown. That's how i set it up. Only down side is there is an invisible notification the 100% of the time, so when new notifications come that are set slightly across. If that makes sense.

That unlock method has been floating around XDA for a few days now. Only thing that's stopped me doing it is that it requires the HTCdev unlock - something that may void your warranty if they decided to be, well, idiots. So for now, i still haven't rooted. Not missing it THAT much yet, but there is some app data I backed up with Titanium backup I wish I could unlock properly.

Finding that the built in browser can crash Sense on occasion which makes me a little annoyed. And I THINK I've had a couple of display issues (screen fuzzy for a fraction of a second) but not sure if its been my imagination or not. Certainly not something I can reproduce tho.

Despite that tho, I love it. Best phone I've owned.

Oooo, but the MyOptus app doesn't seem to work at all which is frustrating me! Despite it being bloatware.

Despite owning a Desire HD for like 16 months, I am yet to really get into messing around with Rooting and ROMs and all the rest as I was always a bit afraid of breaking it. Now that I have my desire as well, a backup, I might start poking around with it to try and build my knowledge up a bit.

RCmix3D was what I ran on my DHD. Sense 3.5, with Gingerbread, but then I liked Sense so it was logical to me. But XDA has a fair few good roms for it.

I joined the 1X club on Monday, loving this phone big time. Rooted and currently running Android Revolution HD,(ARHD) with SwiftKey, it's nice not to have provider bloatware. The only annoyance I've had so far is the lack of menu button aside from the three dot "button". I'm gonna look into the menu button mod tomorrow.

I guess I'm just too used to having one. I came over from the HTC Desire, where the only button I didn't use was the search button. A lot of complaints about the battery life, but I've found it to be far superior to the HTC Desire so far.

HTCDev.com to unlock the bootloader, installed Clockworkmod via Fastboot, then Flashed SuperSU through recovery to gain Root. From there, I installed the ARHD boot.img via fastboot, then flashed ARHD Rom. To change the app switch button into a menu button, I flashed 3 Dot Menu disabler. My next step was to get the Chrome Beta. Best android browser I've used to date.

Only FC's I've encountered so far are with Winamp, but that's due for an ICS update soon anyway.

Edit: 3 Dot menu disabler has also put the App button action to a Long press Home button. Very handy to know.

They're working on the fix to reset the bootloader back to stock over at XDA, it's only a matter of time.

so after the 1.28 update, this is an update on battery life consumption.

15hours 33min from full charge sitting on 54% battery life
2 email accounts on push and facebook sync
about 2 hours and 45minutes of phone calls with 2hours and 30 minutes of that on bluetooth.
wifi on the whole day, brightness on 50% and screen activity about 23minutes.
Weather Sync every 2 hours with the HTC weather & clock on main screen.

pretty good all things considered, not gonna win best battery performance but certainly not hindering performance.

Happy with the performance , bought mine outright for $677 upgraded from the GS2 because in the last 2 months my GS2 has given me no end of troubles (dropping calls which i then returned back to samsung, then most recently started randomly turning off and randomly restarting)

Thinking of selling off my S2 and getting a one X, not entirely sure about it just yet, i love the look of the screen and the speakers on the front and quad core but not real sure about battery life, some have said it's not that flash
