Minecraft is essentially just a digital lego with unlimited amounts of building blocks... oh and you can die.
Got a problem? Build a bridge and Get Over It... or just use an Ender Pearl!

When newb people ask me, "what is Minecraft?" The best explanation I've come up with is "Lego with zombies."
