Semi-Automatic Wheat Farm added!

Unread postby Mingo3k » 8 Apr 12, 2:12 am

Hi GoN guys/girls,

Thought I'd show you I was working on over the last hour or so.

I have one of these at my in-game house, but you can't use it due to land permissions.

Either way, without further adieu, here it is;
Image

Usage:
If there is grass, make sure you have no bonemeal or seeds in your inv. then, grab ONE bonemeal, right click the seeded soil, and it will break the full wheat, dropping two seeds. The left dispenser will then give you a seed, plant and the right dispenser will give you a bonemeal. Rinse, repeat, once you've got enough, hit the lever and grab the loot. :)

There is also a glass version just next to it.

This is located;

It's nice when things aren't vandalised by signs or when certain blocks are removed.

If breaking of blocks and adding extra signs continues, I'll take down the farms.
I left it public for you all to use if you need it :)

Don't abuse it.

I have added the same farm to the new map.
Behind the giant shop building.

Does this 'use' bonemeal?
or does the process make it not consume anything?

It does, but I try to keep it stocked up.

(It -may- be under protection at the moment, so if you can't open the dispensers, I'll try and make public ones later on)

Dispenser on the left has grass seeds, dispenser on the right has bonemeal.
Make sure you aren't holding any grass seeds. and one bonemeal in your inventory.
If there is a wheat growing in the machine, use the one bonemeal, the dispensers then spit out a new seed, then once planted, spit our a new bonemeal.

Place, rinse, repeat. Level drops the block via sticky piston so you can pick up the wheat and grass seeds.

On the other hand,
If there is no wheat growing in the machine, use a grass seed instead, the dispensers then spit out bonemeal, then once harvested, spits our a new grass seed.
