Buy MW3 or buy BlackOps instead ?

well what do you think, moving away from COD4, should I get MW3 or is BlackOps better ?

The tried & true pros & cons chart:

MW3:
+ better gunfire sound effects
+ Kill Confirmed mode
+ still has 'zombie mode' (Survival mode)
+ weapon-based proficiencies
- still uses the stupid peer 2 peer system. Cannot get unlocks on Dedi server (have they patched this) ?

BO:
+ Dedi servers
+ Bigger maps
+ Cheaper
+ Bugs already ironed out by now, hopefully

Skyrim hmm yes might just buy that over xmas break.
BF3, I dunno ... do people still run around the aircraft spawn trying to hop in as soon as it appeared out of thin air?

Last one I played was 1942 at telstra gamearena, unpoliced and full of kiddie antics. Antics as in ramming a jeep onto a friendly plane taxiing off to crash them so they respawn sooner. Back then planes were also unbalanced: pretty hard to reliably take them down with anything else other than a fighter.

BF3 is good, but it is really totally different and is difficult to compare to the cod series.

A lot of the tardiness and team killing for jets has now been removed due to the ability to spawn directly into jets, however, of course with all games you still get the occasional tard that wants to wreck the game for all.

At the end of the day, everyone has different preferences and therefore it is difficult to recommend a game for you really without knowing your preferred style.

I would not waste money on a dying game (Black ops) but as the other cod admins would say, I don't even own MW3 so I can't really be a good person to advise here (As lately im hooked on bf3).

The recent shooters that have been released recently are all pretty awful, including bf3, if you want a good FPS wait for CSGO. Out of MW3 and Black Ops I'd say get MW3 solely based on the fact that black ops is kinda dead other then nuketown and a few other servers, however black ops in the better game imo.

I've been in this dilemma but I went for BF3 and had to wait for 6 weeks before I could get a copy of MW3. No regrets in getting these two..
