New patch today causing lag?

So a new patch came out today, just some bug fixes for the most part, but since getting it ive had horrible frame rate, stuttering lag. its still playable, but very annoying, and makes things difficult. anyone else experience this?

I didn't notice any of that from the 2hrs I put into it today. BO hasn't crashed for me today but since I'm having GPU problems that's probably just my video card being nice. Personally I haven't actually 'seen' any difference after each patch. Its fine for me when it came out and its still fine for me now.

After a quick browse through the Black ops sub section of the steam forums, it seems like no one is experiencing your problem but like normal, there's millions of complaints on there. But maybe this fix (from the patch changelog):

- Various stability improvements

Is actually causing problems for you.

That's part of reason I rarely play. Every patch that says it fixes the stuttering never does. I go back in the the same old laggy game.

mine was fine before, but only runs on normal textures

Played today before and after the patch with no problems, but then I upgraded to a quad core and new OS/memory at least partly for this game.

new patch works fine for me... but it worked fine previously.

nVidia also released new drivers so be sure to check out their website to ensure you're running the latest version..... this can always assist if you're having issues.

don't know what todays patch did, hasn't caused any issues though. my game has been running fine since the very first patch tbh.

Game has been running fine since that first patch a few months back, but the latest 19/01/2011 patch has just killed the game for me. It is now unplayable.

I use to get 90-150fps+ pretty much constantly, now its more like 20-60 fps, sigh.

Done with this game.

negitive no lag issues on ground but when in chopper it was lagging alittle bit last night.

My lag was really horrid until they released the patch around the 16th december, but since I started playing it again I've had no lag troubles..
I did however notice that the knifing seems to be even more screwed up lol but I suppose we gotta expect this from now on, all the game manufacturers are rushing the games and missing ****. I spotted on steam a couple days ago that Modern Warfare 3 is being released..

and set them back to what there ment to be, Multi GPU to 0 if you dont have multiple gfx cards, and Multi threaded to 1 if you have a dual core or better cpu.... They reset to stock after every patch... fixes alot of problems for alot of people.
