Don't like it don't play on it. Its not like all the servers were being over utilised and you have lost a server that was full and running something else.

Why can't the people who like Nuke have a server as well or are you that selfish that you think your thoughts on the subject should have more bearing than those who want this? I could see your point if all the servers were full but they are far from full and it is hurting no one that this server has been created.

The novelty will wear off soon enough and you will find it probably fades away anyway.

Yes.

In all honesty, I think having a ranked server that plays one map only totally subverts the whole point of having a stats system and leaderboards in the first place. Not only that, but as of time of writing there are currently five populated Australian non-HC S and D servers. Three of them are nuketown 24/7, one of them is BB, and the last is a vanilla server with a rotation but has only 3 players in it.

It literally kills the game for me when the bulk of players in my favourite game-mode are playing on a one map server. It eludes me as to why Node's rotation S and D servers have been so unpopular since Black Ops release, I can only presume that the POS server browser shipped with the game has meant most people have chosen to play on clan/friends' servers rather than attempting to browse through the traditional lists. It's a shame really since Node's Cod4 S and D servers were very popular back when the game came out, and still see decent use.

I enjoy Nuketown :)

I don't think anyone should target people for that if they themselves don't like it...

Seems a little arrogant

Nuketown is to Black Ops what Justin Bieber is to music.

I'm not a fan of Nuketown, it's spammy, it's way too fast, but it's also very campy, with many claymores around each corner.

That being said, many people want it, so you may as well give it to them. If Nuketown servers get filled, then keep putting Nuketown servers on. Supply & Demand.

I will confess to loving Nuketown. Nuketown demolition is the best way to get particular pro perks (flack jacket and tac mask) and Nuketown S&D is the best way to level up (yesterday I went from lvl 38 to 49 in about 4 hours).

I remember playing CoD4 S and D on Node just to enjoy it, not to level up because there wasn't anything to level up beyond the first 55 levels. Are we really addicted to filling bars with numbers?

To me the ranking and numbers mean nothing - even though I did go from level 44 - 50, went prestige and now lev 32 - I just love what Nuketown offers - fast paced action.

Even if the level was capped at 55 like good ol COD4, I'd still play Nuketown for the speed of the game.

Got myself a hacker yesterday too - of which I love demoing and submitting their evil to the GON gods to deal their wrath :)

personally, I would rather people play on a vanilla SnD server on a full rotation.
SnD has quickly become my favourite game mode after never having played it in previous COD's.
I just love the adrenaline that gets pumping when you are the last man alive on your team against 3 or 4 others.
Although I would rather play it on non-nuketown servers, but alas, as i can only find people on nuketown servers, i have to go down to their levels instead of playing what i want to play.
*sigh*

The UAU server seems to be just about the only regular non-BB S and D server atm, although if you don't mind BB ASG has a server that's steadily populated too.
