Typical. Apparently my microphone is an invalid device ONLY in TS. I remember having this problem ages ago with it and had to google and work it out. Took to long. Cbf working it out this time unless I have spare time. So annoying.

edit: lol! Tried running as admin before I gave up and now it works.
