Racing together

Alright folks we know iRacing is pretty popular at the moment with at least 3 and up to 10 folks on everynight, just from my GoN list alone. It's weird that with all the activity, I still haven't raced with many of you. I'm putting it down to a few things:

Since we use our 'real names' in the game - it's hard to remember who on the forums is who in the game

There's no instant messaging function in iRacing so actually communicating through the game doesn't really work

Trying to organise which race you want to run in in time consuming (due to races being an hour, sometimes two apart), let alone trying to coordinate a public race with others.

My proposition: I will maintain a list of current GoN players, and their activity. Something like: Forum name, iRacing Name, Xfire username (for contact to organise a race), and current activity (eg Mustang Series)

So if you would like to post those 4 things I will start to compile the list. I'll start by going through the iRacing player list and joining up the GoN usrename with the iRacing name. If you would like me to add the xfire username and activity, simply post below or send me a PM. Same goes when it's time to update.

Fantastic idea and agree with the lack of friend communication on iRacing it makes things a bit difficult to organise let alone with real names to forum names. I have practiced with one person here or there, but this would be so much better. I'll post up my details, very keen to race / practice together.

Gah, TS is terrible. Every time I've ever installed it on any of my PCs since like 2005, my whole computer has just turned to complete ****. Slows right down, and I can't make sense of it or explain why.
