Short vid of a very full Prototype race i was in today..as you will see i didnt last long this time lol. The rolling starts are both exciting and pant-wettingly nerve destroying at the same time!

Had an epic finish to a Soltice race yesterday evening. Running in 4th with a lap to go (after leading a few laps but spinning after my rear left tire clipped the dirt on track out of turn 4. )

Had an epic run on the last turn to claim a podium spot by 0.05 of a second.
Will try and post up this evening.

Hey Mclaren,

I've only watched that first vid cause i'm at work and need to limit my download usage, but that prototype racing looks fscking sweet. Can't wait to get on board that. Bad luck on clipping the inside ripple strip though, you were going great guns up until then.

It freaking fantastic racing mate, its my new favorite series in iRacing! And the truth is, they are probably much easier cars to drive than the lower class cars, as they are so refined as racing machines, they turn where you turn, they go when you press the pedals, and they "slide" in a manageable manner. Once your used to the high speed everything happens at, its amazing, and having such large grids like had last week is just a thrill to race in.

The only downside is most of the races are 50-80 minutes long as they are an endurance series, but last week was 30min sprint races.

But i highly recommend to anyone to get their license up and come drive them, its a blast!

so what do u reckon radical or prototype?

ive had a look at both in the section. ones light and nimble the others heavier with more power. W2P though is almost the same... oh the decisions!

What's the rad?

Also, from the other movie makers can you tell me how you make them? Particularly picture in picture but also any other general tips.

What editor are u using? I use Sony Vegas 9 (can be found on the www @ a heavily discounted price) to edit and Handbrake to encode the raw .avi into a .mkv for YouTube. YouTube has heaps of tutorials for Sony Vegas.:)

I see you bought the Rad, but just so you know .. to compete in multiclass events you must own both cars. Bit of a pain, but its worth it. Plus then you can change when u feel like as to what car you race. .. and remember that even though both classes are in race together, they are fighting for their own class wins.

BTW ..rad is a bucket load of fun on the right tracks!
