I won my first race!

Only took me a month, but I finally did it - won a race on Laguna Seca in the Solstice. Sure, the field was pretty ****, and I only gained the lead thanks to a few spin-outs, but it was still awesomely rewarding.

I'm still nowhere near ready to graduate out of the Rookie Road Cars, but I'm slowly getting ready for D-class Ovals.

So, who else has recently won their first race? And how awesome was it?

Nice work Bennett!. I'm still yet to win my first race. Only had 3, but got a 6th a 3rd and a 7th so pretty happy with that.

Can't say I'm as eager as you to start oval racing... round and round and round and round and round... oh and round.

I've won two races so far. The first was by default due to spins and drop-outs from other drivers. The second one was hardfought and I led the field for 15 laps.

A win is a win is a win... and in iRacing that sense of jubilation is so much greater than any other racing game I've ever played.

When you take a win in iRacing you really feel like you have achieved something, every race is a challenge in distance and in competition, and very few "games" are so rewarding.

Ive reached over 160 road races now i think, and although im at nearly %60 for Top 5 finishes, race wins still come very very rarely. Enjoy them where you get them, regardless of who fell off track, or got penalites, a win is a win!
