Not enough... I found that the last week of soltice races I only get about 5 laps top of actual racing. The rest ur just cruising around tryin to beat ur own lap time as everyones either buttered off ahead of me :p or spun out behind... I fear Laguna will be worse for this with the longer laps too.

I just got promoted to d class last night, don't think I'll race mosport this week but I'm amped for summit point next week, thats a nifty little track!

Managed for a 1:33:719 today with less fuel though. Was hoping to get some tips from a full practice server when I logged on but it finished and nobody was on the next one lol. Really finding this track fun. Might try a race this week, been to long!

You take t1 and t2 very nicely at the beginning. I cannot get it that smooth. I think its the setup I'm using or maybe need for practice there. Could get a lot of time from those two turns.

So is anyone planning to race this week in Summit? I had a race last night, after practicing only for a half hour, but crashed out half a lap in because I was racing for the first time with my TrackIR5... needless to say I was looking a little to the right, but thought I was looking straight, planted the power and spun. Sounds like getting used to the trackIR business is going to be quite a challenge, but quite rewarding also.

Looking forward to racing with any of you this week if anyone else is keen

Yeah I should be. Practiced a little last night and got to low 1:23's. I wanna cut off another 1 - 1.5 secs with consistent laps before I race. Does the track seem slippery? Just seems I have so much less grip here than other tracks on the stang.

Had 3 races at Mosport last week, one race was unofficial because some registered didn't rock up. Typical I won that and didn't count lol. Ended up only being 4 drivers and 2 within a few laps into the race.

Enjoyed racing there despite other peoples accidents being unavoidable. Got big negative SR's in 2 races there because of it. Hoping to get it up at Summit.

Screw it, I'm gonna sign up to this series - was planning on trying to master the SRF first, but the Mustang is just too sexy.

I bit the bullet - bought the car and remaining tracks to participate in the Mustang season.

Dear god. What a BEAST.

She really reminds me of the Solstice, but is heavier and with more power. So much fun to drive though, and handles similarly to the Solstice. I hit a 1:23 on Summit Point within 45 minutes of getting the car, giving me hope that I won't be too far off the race pace.

Really looking forward to trying out all the new tracks - there's only so many laps of Lime Rock and Laguna Seca a man can do!

Probably a good idea too, as its very easy to get stuck in a "loop" with the rookie stuff, and waste a lot of time trying to improve in something that doesnt real behave like the race cars you will drive as you progress, plus the solstice is being killed off very soon to be replaced by the Mazda MX5 as the rookie car. You could easily invest a lot of wasted energy.

I wish the Stang races were on a smaller timeframe. I wonder why they're not as frequent as rookie races?

The annoying thing about races being on a two hour gap, is I usually forget about them and miss them, then have to wait two hours, then I forget about them again, or really can't be bothered/too tired.

:/
