Tommo Inc and BLAZE set to release Limited Edition NEOGEO Handheld for Worldwide sale Q2 2O12

The "NEOGEO X" will be released in Q2 2012 following the 20th anniversary of the ground breaking NEOGEO AES console. This Limited Edition handheld console will feature 20 officially licensed NEOGEO games including retro classics such METALSLUG, THE KING OF FIGHTERS and FATAL FURY.

Along with these 20 built in NEOGEO classic titles, the NEOGEO X will also feature, SD card expansion, a 3.5" LCD screen, A/V output, internal stereo speakers and a headphone socket.

This is awesome. I've always wanted a Neo-Geo AES but shied away from buying one because of the cost. Will be my first console purchase in years (assuming I can get my hands on one).

It was an Awesome console in its day although very expensive and the games where like $250 a pop.

It also was the machine that drove the arcade games you see in the cinemas the little gamming corner with the sit in racing games, fighting games and pinball machines and so forth.

Put it this way it was around when the Nintendo's and Sega consoles where around well before the ps1 and a lot more grunt hence the cost of the thing.

I was never able to afford one either so I'll be very intrested to see if I can get my hands on one of these new hand held ones
