thought i would start a thread detailing your most epic moments in this game

I will start off, myself and some mates decided to do a speed run on a few levels, much harder than you would imagine, anyway, we were trying the second level with the elevator, and my custom battle music started pumping, a selection of epic music, and the track for today turned out to be Mozart's Dies Irae, killing aliens in slow motion as you dash for the last exit with this tune blasting while the guns are blazing made for pure epic win

we beat the level in 2:50, the listed time for the achievement

I'll leave it up to the other individuals involved if they want to out themselves.

Running through the final mission on Hard we managed to battle our way through all the queens and parasites and closed doors and rocks and so on and then, without spoiling anything, you have to get from Point A to Point B (a landing platform) within a certain timeframe.
By this stage most of the team was around half health and our medic either had only a few shots left of the medic gun or had run out entirely after having cured me of an infestation as we approached Point A.
So the timer comes up on screen and we leg it.
About 1/3 of the way there our Medic gets overwhelmed and gets gnawed to death.
2/3 of the way I was down to a sliver of health but managed to keep fighting while the other two kept legging it towards Point B. I eventually succumbed within sight of Point B... I may've made it but I went back to try and help our Tech who'd been trapped by aliens on the wrong side of a truck that was blocking our way.
I didn't make it. Shortly thereafter he didn't make it. Our Special Weapons guy made it to Point B but was being swarmed by aliens and died as the evac ship was almost there.

Cue much "Nooooooooooo!" and laughter as he dies.

Though I thought the best fail was when I stood by the door and the swarm bashed through and crushed me with the door instantly forcing a mission fail because I was the tech!

Oh, I forgot the bit where we kept mysteriously catching fire.

Though I thought the best fail was when I stood by the door and the swarm bashed through and crushed me with the door instantly forcing a mission fail because I was the tech!

Even though it meant another failure it was hilarious.
"How many of us died?" "Just you!"

Another epic moment from the same session: Our Medic popped the Adrenaline thing in a panic as he was getting swarmed (I swear we didn't abandon him all the time!) and he still died anyway.
And of course when a player dies the game slows down to show you their death animation.
So we had the slow motion from Adrenaline and then the death slow down effect on top of it. He fell very slowly!

Most epic is i reckon the part in one level where you walk north up a really dark and narrow walkway with glass windows on each side and the aliens keep bashing out of them. Charging 3 across with guns blazing and adrenaline causing ultra-slow-mo gorefest is just... win.

had another epic win tonight

on the mission where you have to kill all the eggs and parasite and such, and very early my entire squad dies. Well being the stubborn nut I am I manage to complete 90% of the level on my own, the other 10% being with my squad of course.

It was truly a challenge, i had to be resourceful and used some of my teams kits and such to complete parts, perhaps the coolest part was at the end, i used my sentry gun, with a salvaged flamer and tesla, loaded out all these proxy mines and then scraped some adrenaline. by the time the door opened i still had unexploded mines, a sentry gun still active and only needed to use the tesla three times. Resourcefulness paid off

Speed runs with Adrenalin and everyone carrying PDWs is pretty awesome stuff. Who needs to hack or weld doors when you can drop damage amplifiers and shoot your way through!

Most epic/fun moment
Me and 3 other generals (rank 6's) did elevator with fists only, we dropped all weapons at start and punched our way through, it was on easy however but still hilarious. Best part was the slow mo elevator where i did some awesome 3 hit combo's

Most epic/epic moment
was doing landing bay on brutal, onslaught, hardcore ff.
Flamers only tickle aliens and slow slightly, I had Tesla to slow even more as medic. Tech and i managed to fight our way through till console where he was face hugged by a surprise, managed to hold them back while healing long enough for tech to setup turret and hack, he got out with [] ] much life with me just dieing while he hacked
