That is not a toolbar per sa as it is hard-coded into the browser as opposed to coming direct from Google. You also do not have use the aforementioned search engine either as there are plenty of default alternatives available.

Oh, and Google Chrome is a taskbar :P just type query into the address bar and it google searches it.

im not sure how knew you are talking with firefox (i switched to chrome, much nicer imo) but...

on topic... i cannot remember the last time i installed DirectX, and if i do i will be culling BING for the evil it is!

Ditto for Opera, toolbars are stupid when you have an inbuilt search box with a dropdown for different engines.

I don't know what the fuss is. I just installed directX and I had the option to unselect Bing....
