If you speak to a rep and insist on it they will, there's some nice margins they are running.

Tried speaking to a rep, they really wouldn't budge on the price, seems the best I'll be getting is the 25% discount already in place.
[EDIT]
Tried another rep, they wouldn't budge either. So I may have just placed an order for a U2711...

Whats your estimated time on shipping? I'm also in Perth so just wondering.

Estimated delivery is 30/05.
The rep I spoke to said he can 'fast track' my order, and that it should come before 30/05, but who knows if that was just a way to make me feel better or not :P
Will update when I get it.

Talking to a mate who has ordered a few monitors through them, he seems to think they shipped direct from Singapore when he ordered them.

How would a GTX 670 run one of those by itself? I don't really have the money to get 2 and run it SLI with this screen, but its the last day of sale and I plan on upgrading anyway. If not I might get something different or not worry about a new screen at all. I am planning on getting another 670 in the future some time though. I just don't want it struggling in the mean time

You could check benchmarks for the 670 but from what i've seen it should perform fine by itself. My friend has a GTX580 and runs at 2560x1600 and no game really pushes the card so I would imagine the 670 should be fine.

Yeah I checked the benchmarks, looks like it won't handle it as well as SLI with maximum settings, which is understandable, was thinking maybe get 2 23" screens instead for $200 cheaper, should be better for when I'm doing uni work as well.

EDIT: Come to think of it I kind of hated 2 screens in the past...
EDIT2: But they were different screens, probably didn't help lol.

For Maxxxx, the U2711 I ordered yesterday morning is now showing up as "With Local Carrier" in my order status. That makes me think it will be much sooner than 30/05!

That increases the excitement by 5000% haha.
I'm thinking of maybe no longer getting a 27" but maybe a 23" 120Mhz or something like that. SO MANY CHOICES :(

I've been trying to make that decision for weeks! This sale made the decision much easier :P
I decided against 120Hz/3D since it seems it's not quite there yet, game support is patchy, requiring separate launchers and workarounds. Too much effort for something cool but ultimately a gimmick.
Also 3D glasses over my normal glasses is a pain in the arse :P

I run a 30 " dell on a 6950, although i do have a second card in my machine i usually leave that to just run my 27 and 32 inch either side. Most of the time i forget to enable sli as i will lose connection to other monitors but its really not a issue.

And as for my desk its 2000mm long and i sit at one end facing towards other with the monitors curved the whole length of the desk. No way i could go back to anything less.

3D is a gimmick, 120hz isn't.

120hz is sex for your eyes, in any game where you're above 60hz it's buttery smooth and you don't ever want to go back.
I spent the first day admiring the extra frames in reload animations you couldn't see before, it was splendid.
