yay broke the 11000 mark with 480gtx's

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/1924409

using a 2nd power supply to power the 480's and main antec psu for the rest of the system.

seems to allow for higher clocks than just the one psu allowed.

(tho the real reason for getting 2nd psu was cos i was tripping the overcurrent circuit on my antec quattro 1kw, one of the 12volt rails shares pci-e power and system, so i got a thermaltake tough power 650w vga. it goes in 2x 5.25 bays and only has PCI-E power connectors)

Your score inspired me to try again!

My last best score at 10994, couldn't beat it..

My new score is: 11163!

480's at 865/2150 Air-cooled.

I could probably go higher if I pushed the CPU a bit harder.

damn 2150 on the ram, thats what got you that score, i was stuck at umm i think it was 1950? (have to look at the result page)

nope was 860/ 1940mhz once i lookd, do you add extra voltage to the cards via afterburner or somthing and if so how much?
and do you know if it affects the memory? i didnt think it did

Yeah, I max'd out the voltage in Afterburner. I can go higher on the Ram too if I wanted haha. I'm gonna keep tweaking that score, because that run was perfectly stable. Might try a 4.2Ghz run as well.

The ramchips I scored on these things are beasts. I've had them running at 2250 before, but didn't gain any difference over 2150. That was at 825 on the core though, so 865 might yield a better result.

I achieved P10674 with my i7 960 @ 3.2ghz and 2 x GTX 580s @ 855Mhz core clock, 4100MHz memory clock.

Than I overclocked my 960 to 4ghz left the 580s same as before and got P11516. Might have to try overclocking my 580s to see what I can get!

oh i did OC the cards to 855Mhz
and the CPU to 4.5

which got me around 12,200

but not worth the extra heat for gaming

im still trying to find a good temp balance

at the moment, im running the second monitor on the second GPU

and have a really nice MSI afteburner fan profile now :)

After a good hour of BF3 im nicely on

GPU1 : 86
GPU2 : 77

Lets see who can guess what I should be getting with my rig:

i5 750 @4GHz (for benching)
GSkill DDR3 @1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 2t 1.55v 8GIG 4x 2GIG
Gigabyte 6950 2GIG Reference
Gigabyte P55A-UD4P

test1 - GPU @6970 spec
Another Bench, Higher OCd
Best results for Previous Drivers
P6050 PERSONAL RECORD! New Drivers. SOOOO HAPPY!!!

Been benching a bit, comparing to my Bro inlaws rig that I just built for him

i5-2500k @3.8GHz 1.375v
GSkill DDR3 @1600 9-9-9-24 8GIG 2x 4GIG
ASUS GTX570 OC DirectCUII
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3

A bit dissapointing actually!!!
