True. I don't really see a need to OC at the moment. Need to wear in the hardware and AS5 paste on the CPU before I try some OC'ing to see what this bad boy can do. Generally will keep it at stock as I don't see it struggling at all so pretty happy.

Rig as in Sig.

I'm quite happy with that score, seeing it's a single 670 with old 1156 I7 Technology at 4Ghz. Sure it's not as fast as my SLI 480's, but it's also using a fifth of the power and runs far cooler.

ran another run with my 2x 480's and managed this

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3533491

then the run after that i half fried one of the cards :S it doesnt output any video anymore, it still does all the grunt work tho so i just swaped cables to the other card :)

also the reason i did anothe run is cos i picked up another 480 really cheap and am gunna try 3x sli. prolly wont run very well cos of the 8x pcie2 but we'll see how it goes 8)

That's a nice score for a pair of 480's

Here's mine 580 sli

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3542517

I'm really let down by the cpu tho
I really got bad luck with this one needs lots of juice to be stable so i cant oc it very high, complete reverse of my last chip a Q6600 which was hitting 4.8ghz stable on a smaller wc kit then i have now.
Tax time soon new chip i think.

Shame about your card lucky it still works in sli tho :D

I'm running one card on the 8x slot for cooling, i didnt see much difference when running 16x except for a lot more heat.
I still haven't seen any benches that throw any real weight to 16x speed on sli either.

P14353 score

3x 480's gives massive 18k gfx score but really limited by the cpu :)

looks pretty in the case tho :)

New score with new cpu and motherboard
I7-3820 and Rampage IV Formula
Quick first day oc on the chip i'm pretty sure i can push it a fair bit more
The 580's not to sure maybe with more cooling after 920mhz they really need more vcore then im prepared to use on aircooling.
Currently running 1.125vcore to get 920mhz stable and only for a quick bench run.

Still a clean 1000 more points then last time

Yeah you kick my arse on the physics and combined for sure.

The highest I have run my 990x was 4.53ghz and i tried it with these cards and got a 100 point increase so to me not worth it.

I will probably be waiting for the next gen of intel cpus to come out before I upgrade as in games etc i can't imagine that it would be much benefit to me right now. I get 60fps in all the games i play with everything maxed out so that is good enough for me now.

Also these cards run way cooler than the 580's i had before. after looping 3dmark 11, the max temps i have seen were 52c. where as the 580's (evga superclocks @ 853mhz stock voltage) would get up to 80c and some times above but usually no more than 80.

It is cold here in Melbourne and in my comp room, usually gets no hotter than 17 or so, in winter anyway.

One of the cards boosts to 1189mhz and the other to 1202 so i cant complain. If i give it max voltage (1.175v) and power threshold of 132% i can get a 50mhz core increase and a boost to 1239 and 1252 out of them but don't see any realy world improvements out of them. They don't seem to want to go any higher without more volts so I am happy with them.
